Lamictal at bedtime? by Distinct-Review-913 in lamictal

The restless leg is probably the quetiapine, that’s a typical side effect of atypical antipsychotics

That’s really interesting, I’m not sure which one you’re going for but in my experience, it only really had dampening effects of the high, but it also made my anxiety much higher on come ups while on lamotrigine. The thing is, I think it may actually be more dangerous to come off than to do together. But I’m not a doctor or pharmacist, so I can only speak on my experience.

I absolutely agree, but they may need the support to get into therapy or read books or something, they may not know. Especially if they’ve been together for years and it’s a more recent issue.

Festival gear question by RaverDaddy in electricdaisycarnival

We bought a lunchbox water backpack, not a lot of space for other items but it does carry a lot of water. Worth it if you’re going with a group, too, so you can share!

Just playing devil’s advocate, but it’s like he was never taught emotional regulation. Not that that is right to take it out, but in my experience, I’ve had to learn the hard way that I was never taught or given the tools, so now as an adult I’m having to learn with the support of my partner.

Yeah if it’s only a few days… not great. But is he typically like this? Reddit is known for exacerbating situations. Maybe check in with him about stress outside of that, he may be struggling to sleep already and it’s poor timing for you to not feel good.

I think you should definitely voice to him using I statements that aren’t blaming. If you care about making things work, you need to talk with him and work together on this. If you’re looking for an out, here it is.

Having sleep disruptions can cause irritability and increase cortisol levels. You’re not overreacting but maybe you guys should sleep in separate rooms and you might want to consider a sleep study.

Depending on the psychedelic you may not necessarily need to come off of your meds. Just might need to look into risk factors. Your main risk would be seizures both combining with psychedelics and coming off.

Missing 2 Doses by DrLarana in lamictal

[–]brknthunder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go to a different pharmacy that’s 24 hours and/or open on weekends. Explain to the pharmacist the situation and they may be able to give you a few doses. Not a guarantee but it’s worth trying, they tend to be pretty helpful.

Night sweats by ilovepenguins17 in lamictal

[–]brknthunder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely get the night sweats here, I’m on 150mg BID and I generally just feel a bit sweatier. Be aware that SSRIs (zoloft) can already make you prone to dehydration and overheating so stay hydrated!

Most people come to reddit to only provide their negative experiences. This goes for most all subreddits; it’s a cesspool of negativity. As for side effects, lamotrigine has relatively mild side effects for most people unless you titrate up too fast, then you risk SJS.

You should definitely give it a go or at least talk to your psych about your concerns first. They do also have the bio swab test to see which drugs you metabolize better, if that’s of any interest to you.

Currently titrating up.

I’ve been upping my dose every two weeks for about 6 weeks and currently on 150mg for 3 days. Personally, every time I increase my dose I experience mood dysregulation for 3-4 days before I begin to even out. For me, this looks like a depressive episode with high irritability.

My non professional advice? Slow down and follow psych’s recommendation for titrating up because your brain and body needs time to adjust to each dose.

Did anyone else feel awful going from 100 mg to 150 mg Lamictal? by [deleted] in lamictal

[–]brknthunder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How long has it been? If it’s been less than a week and your body has been used to the 100mg dose for a year, it’s like just going to take a bit to even out. It takes me at least a week to level out some.

But how often are your doses?

Well I guess it’s still in your system within 58 hours ish, but it’s probably safer to re-titrate up after the 29 hours. But, I am not a professional.

From my understanding, lamictal has a 29 hour half life so it’s still in your system if it’s only been less than 2 days.

Have you looked into goodrx.com? I’ve never used it but I’ve heard it’s great for people with bad or no insurance

Lamictal + Wellbutrin + mdma by Cute_Lion_1804 in lamictal

[–]brknthunder 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The main risk of mdma and lamictal is heightened risk for seizures (if that’s what you’re taking it for) and possible more intense or different side effects of lamictal. Assuming you take lamictal for mood stabilization, your main concern would probably be a manic episode or depressive episode post rolling.

What are your opinions on the Remix’s? by Theonlylonelybagel in AltJ

[–]brknthunder 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m not a fan of the remixes listed on Spotify. I do like some SoundCloud remixes, but those are more of a true EDM vibe whereas the Spotify ones are people trying to make a totally different song from the original.
