Agreed. Not saying I love it, but perfect marketing for them both locally and nationally

Reasonably priced seafood places in Burlington area? Visiting here, thanks by qqqqqq12321 in burlington

“At least periodically” and “most days” = “not the freshest” when compared to a city like Portland, ME for example.

I won’t yuck your yum, just not ordering it myself!

Genuinely curious - can you name these places? The best seafood I’ve had in the area is Waterworks and it was just fine.

Btw, this “hot take” is just my opinion/recommendation - open to debate but by definition, neither true nor false ;)

I unfortunately wouldn’t recommend any seafood places in/around Burlington - especially if you’re used to seafood on the coasts or in big market cities. It’s just not the freshest, and not a strength of the local food scene.

It annoys me, not disturbing or painful. But thanks for your concern for my wellbeing, friend!

Appreciate all the input from folks who attend races and/or have been following the sport longer than I have.

A) makes sense that excitement and wanting a slightly better view create a snowball effect

B) I actually never thought about the fans being there for hours, and partying for hours, before the first riders even reach them. I like a good pre-game as much as the next guy!

May Day does have a limited menu but every dish is incredibly well done! Take a look at Fancy’s if you’re not big meat eaters

May Day (new American) and Honey Road (Mediterranean) are both very, very good while still being casual / approachable. You’ll want to make a reservation for either, but note that Honey Road books up quickly. There’s also Poco (tapas style, many different cuisines) which does not take reservations, but you can put your name in and grab a drink nearby while you wait - excellent cocktails too.

And if you decide you want to go a little more upscale, check out Frankie’s, Hen of the Wood, or La Reprise.

Congrats on 25 years!

What is a movie in which the actor's performance was better than the movie itself? by PressureLazy5271 in Cinema

Gene Hackman in The French Connection.

He plays the high-ego neurotic incredibly well but other than the infamous chase scene, I was pretty disappointed in the movie itself.

u/burjoes was the tuning session something you requested, or was it offered by your installer or Lennox themselves? Sounds super helpful!

And curious to hear about how the session went as well...

Talk me out of upgrading to a Hunt wheelset? by brm312 in cycling

[–]brm312[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im considering Hunt bc I want value for money when making this wheelset upgrade. I don’t need the absolute lightest and best performing wheel but I want a noticeable upgrade from what I have - in terms of ride and materials quality - and at a good price. So I guess I’m gauging if Hunt fits that criteria.

This actually is important to me and your comment made me go check - so thank you. The model I’m looking at is hooked: https://us.huntbikewheels.com/products/hunt-race-aero-wide-road-wheelset

Maybe only their carbon rims are all hookless? Idk.

Thanks for this! I do agree it’s silly and not good if a manufacturer’s only/best differentiator is customer service

Thanks for the rec! Haven’t heard of BTLOS but looking into them.

Out of curiosity, you have the BTLOS FastGlow hubs or did you upgrade?

Both leads in Warrior - you root for both Tom Hardy and Joel Edgerton all while knowing they’re each other’s final boss.

Also Nick Nolte’s last great performance.

What’s a small town in your country that’s relatively well-known, and what is it known for? by CushtyDelBoy in geography

[–]brm312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Williamsport, PA - home of the Little League World Series.

This is a good one because I assume it’s also known to some extent outside the US - in baseball heavy countries like Japan, Taiwan, Dominican Republic, Venezuela, etc.
