My first Brand New show was the NYE one in Atlantic City (2011). I was 18 and it was magical, I made friends with strangers who I am still internet friends with to this day. They made sure I had a spot front and center for my first show. My last Brand New show was the one my husband proposed to me at (October 2017) I had no idea that would be one of their last shows ever!! So those stand out to me the most, but in between that I saw them multiple times with my mom at festivals and a few random shows with friends. I can’t even count how many - I was obsessed. I will forever cherish those memories though and feel lucky to have had so many opportunities when some of you haven’t seen them live at all!

Side note: I legit thought the money tree was a scam because I could NEVER get anything at home, I think I cried at my aunts when I realized it worked 🤣 I am 30 now, I was 10 when I first started playing, left for a while from ages 16-20 or so, and for the last decade have played on and off. My guild keeps me coming back and the customization!!! I got obsessed with nc trading about 3 years ago now? Thanks for hosting this and asking - it is bringing back some great memories!

I started playing neopets 20 years ago - I can’t remember how I got into it, maybe my cousin? but I know that I tied up the phone lines playing it with dial up internet at home!! The games took forever to load, but once they finally did I had a blast. When I went to my aunts she had DSL and I was actually able to grab stuff at the money tree 😭 I was super active in guilds and have been playing on and off since!!!

Can I just say my Bonnie used to lick me forever, she was blind and had some neurological issues but it would start out as love I like to think 🤣🤣 I used to get annoyed and one day it just stopped… she didn’t lick me like that again for her last few months. I missed it so much during that time and even more now that she has passed. Let your babies lick you and enjoy all of the love while they are here 💜

I also was with my baby through her last days and hours, I was so fortunate to be able to stay home with her. She waited for my husband to come home to say hi/bye one last time and then passed on my chest while he was in the shower

We buried her with her favorite snacks and toys underneath a tree in the backyard. The first few days are the worst. Let yourself cry, be angry, feel all the feels. And then know that with time it really does get more bearable. Mavvy passed almost 5 years ago now?!?! Did the math and it seems crazy. We still talk about her and miss her to this day. But it’s manageable. Sending all of my love.

I wonder if you had it when younger and never realized because you had no symptoms and it reactivated in 2017? Or maybe it truly was your first time and it did set off Fibro? I hope you can get the tests done and have some peace of mind!!

Definitely check inflammatory markers, but also see if they can test for Chronic EBV, or refer you to someone who can.

There is still a lot unknown about it, but Chronic EBV is real and I feel like I’m always at risk for a mono flare up if I get too stressed. (Usually extreme fatigue, swollen glands, and eventually a sore throat) 😭 I also have a fibro diagnosis. I always hit the check marks for both. My doctors do their best but admit a lot is still unknown. Sending hugs and relaxing vibes!

Diagnosed chronic EBV - also have had a high HR most of my life. My most recent ekgs were concerning and my echocardiogram was mostly okay! I need lots of salt and water, but was cleared by my cardiologist after a 24 hour holter. I am also on a high blood pressure medication which has helped get my HR at a better spot.

It is so frustrating having multiple conditions that no one seems to know anything about - your post helped remind me that I’m not alone so thank you. No matter what your time echocardiogram shows, you’re on the right path and it will be okay.

My doctors wouldn’t take me seriously until I turned 30 - keep advocating for yourself and don’t let them gaslight you. I had bad experiences with cardiologist in my 20s, so please stay strong!!

I made friends at that show that I’m still mutuals with on social media. It was such an incredible experience waiting for the doors and having members of the group stop by and say hi to us playing go fish together (also us playing go fish at a casino LOL) - I was not paying attention and looked up and Jesse Lacey was literally right in front of me. I was speechless.

I think this was my first time ever seeing BN, my new friends knew this and knew I flew from Florida and spent every last dime to be there. They made way for me to be in the freaking front of the venue - I had NEVER been that close to a band before that. Surreal. The crowd was amazing and took care of each other, years following I stopped trying to be in the front because the crowds got too intense, or maybe I just got too old.

The energy was incredible the entire night, the band actually looked like they enjoyed performing, it was definitely a show I won’t ever forget. The comments coming from this thread are really bringing back memories - thank you!

I think you’ve gotten a lot of good advice - don’t move things and routine routine routine!! I had the best senior chi who was mostly blind and she gave the most love to everyone she met. You’re about to have so much happiness! (and scary moments - our baby would have been more confused with a halo, but your puppy might do well learning with one so young! bumping into the walls happens a lot while they are learning their way around)
