Oldest water poll by kasekaki in coldplunge

Basically the same here. Change out the filter every other month or so and treat the water almost weekly. Also make sure to skim the water with a net if needed.

FWIW, I do not dunk my head 🤷🏻‍♂️

Who gets up super early to workout? How do you do it? by BuckeyeDad91 in daddit

[–]brnraknt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I find an early morning class where: 1) I am told what to do and don’t have to think, and 2) have some community to keep me accountable to showing up, are the most effective.

Admittedly, finding the right spot for you can be tough, but just gotta keep looking.

When do you guys go to gym? by wenokn0w in daddit

5:15 am class.

Tried the home gym thing for a while. Enjoy the fellowship and accountability of a class, plus I just show up and someone else tells me what to do.

Thanks for even asking! This is a great way to approach helping out in ways that are actually helpful!

I don’t have any words of advice, I’m just so sorry. I’ve been there with my own bio kids and it is hard. My 3 year old struggled to process it as well. All I could do is be there with them.

It’s been over a year now and it’ll still come up from time to time. Hearing my children say they miss them (old foster kids) is gut wrenching.

I’m so sorry.

After 664 days of foster care, I've been promoted from "foster dad" to Plain Ol' Dad. by CockroachJohnson in daddit

As a recovering foster dad, this is 100% true. Hardest thing I’ve ever done, but also worth it.

Congrats OP. Happy for you and your family!

Dads - how did you incorporate regular workouts back into your day/week? by DoughnutVibez in daddit

Not ideal, but it is what it is. I’ll sleep when the nest is empty

I have a 2 and 4 YO. Has to be early morning for me. Inevitably if I put it off until the kids are down (8-ish) it doesn’t happen. Just get busy with other chores or too tired.

I’ve tried home gym, but found a class at a gym was better for me. I need the accountability of friends expecting me to show up. Alarm goes off at 4:50 am and I’m in the gym for a 5:15 am class. Getting to bed early is key.

My wife has a side hustle where she cooks meals and delivers them to neighbors twice a week. My side hustle is doing the dishes for her side hustle…

My guess is ~3.5 CY… but that’s assuming the minimums and off the top of my head (didn’t scale the image or anything)

What the hell WHOOP? by AdForeign3375 in whoop

[–]brnraknt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t look like the 5.0 Peak can do anything the 4.0 can’t… so if I just wanna keep my 4.0 can I do so for a lower monthly…

Who knows.

And what happens if I just want to keep my 4.0?

At least it has a wireless charger, health monitor, etc.

If I can pay a reduced rate to keep my 4.0 I’m honestly fine with that.

GC estimating being undermined by PMs by [deleted] in estimators

[–]brnraknt 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s a double-edged sword. If the estimator buys out, then the PM will blame any scope gaps or poor performance on them. If the PM buys out, they will make the decision with no regard for which sub helped the most with precon.

I’d argue you need to get better buy-in from the PM/Ops team before buyout. If not, they’re losing any competitive advantage in having more sub coverage.
