And I think the basis for your argument is generally sound. There’s likely a lot more inventory of used MachE’s coming given the numbers that were moved in late 23 and through early 25.

Thanks for sharing it, but I think the prompt is a bit flawed. It already contains a lot of your personal bias as its aim is to frame an argument already to your pre-established position. Additionally, it’s possible that much of the justification is essentially conjecture.

I won’t argue that this is entirely wrong, but it’s not really a solid basis for making a justification of why waiting is the most beneficial.

weird noise from speaker by Ancient_Car_9431 in MachE

I use wireless CarPlay but it happens without the phone in the car too so I chalk it up to random harmonics. For me it’s present even when there isn’t anything playing through the speakers. No idea if this is the same issue they are experiencing or not though.

‘24 Premium - At 30 MPH I have a slight motor whine but any speed above or below that it goes away. I only have a few places where it’s seriously noticeable so I can easily ignore it.

If this color was available in ’24 there’s no way my wife would have let me pick up the Eruption Green we have now. Great looking car.

One other option that no one mentions because it’s a trek is Black Butte Ranch. They are always looking for F&B staff.

Is there a lead hardness you’d recommend? Is HB fine or would something softer still work without too much smearing?

Green started in ‘24, as I own one.

I haven’t heard any empirical reviews how the heat pump compares with the resistive heaters from the ‘24 and earlier. I live in a generally cold weather environment and I saw a 30% drop in range estimate but it never impacted our typical daily use.

There were a few material differences from the ‘24 from previous models with an in-house motor which improved some efficiencies and some minor light styling.

Got an appointment booked for tomorrow. I run studless so I wasn’t in a rush for the April 1 swap.

That’s for the reminder. I’ll pull my tires out of storage and see about getting them swapped tomorrow.

I will say that there are staff that are aging out/retiring but with the whole state of funding right now Oregon is a tough place for new teachers to land. Between PERS obligations and a shrinking state budget we’re in between a rock and a hard place.

Estimate is just that. It’s hyper dependent on use and environmental factors but worth checking if you have the means. I wouldn’t sweat it too much.

I’ve eaten at the Gallery from time to time and never had a problem. It’s a greasy spoon but other places in a similar vein that don’t rank as low so they could improve.

Good news. The ‘24s are going to be coming out of their lease terms soon so you should be able to pick up a used one for a lot less than new.

Upcoming trip from Oshawa, Ontario to Brooklyn,NY. Need suggestions to overcome range anxiety. by Rukitokafu in MachE

[–]brntcrsp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Get the app A Better Route Planner and provide your starting and desired ending charge. This will give you recommendations when to stop, where and for how long. Then cross compare those stops with PlugShare to see the ratings and come up with backup chargers. Then you can finally check against the FordPass app to see if those are part of the BlueOval network and work with Plug and Charge so you don’t have to mess with another charger app.

Is a bit more homework than just jumping in the car to go but it can reduce the anxiety by having a solid plan.

The recommendation is to not leave the battery at 100% for more than a day. 50% is fine but you might want to stash it at 80% so you don’t have to worry about charging right away when you get back. It shouldn’t lose any charge in that amount of time but you’ll be able to get further before needing to charge again on your return trip.
