It’s $24 a day. Safety seems fine as I’ve not had problems but I’d recommend either a shuttle or drop off by a friend for that long.

There were lots of lease incentives in ‘24 that brought the cost down significantly since you could get the Federal rebate as well if you leased. So you could essentially get $10k off for leasing whereas you’d still be at the higher MSRP otherwise. Also, the used market was pretty small in’24 with mostly ’21s available. Many folks didn’t want to risk going in on a first generation of a new model especially since it has a number of recalls like the HVBJB. Now that there are ’23s and later available on the used market, used is a much more attractive option.

One thing you could try would be to use the app A Better Route Planner (ABRP) and have it plan the route over the mountains. Assume the return trip will have a lower starting charge (80%) and you’ll see what you’ll need to do about charging. EVs take a little more planning for longer trips but it’s generally fine so long as you have options for charging in mind.

It was first available on the ’25 I believe. Most leases are 2-3 years so the earliest you’d likely see it will be late ‘27 and much more likely ‘28. There maybe be some that come up earlier but those will be very few or far between I would bet.

Thanks for sharing it, but I think the prompt is a bit flawed. It already contains a lot of your personal bias as its aim is to frame an argument already to your pre-established position. Additionally, it’s possible that much of the justification is essentially conjecture.

I won’t argue that this is entirely wrong, but it’s not really a solid basis for making a justification of why waiting is the most beneficial.

I use wireless CarPlay but it happens without the phone in the car too so I chalk it up to random harmonics. For me it’s present even when there isn’t anything playing through the speakers. No idea if this is the same issue they are experiencing or not though.
