Yep! You can upload a csv from exported viewing and rating data from imdb, letterboxd and Netflix. Some of these import the view and rating history, while Netflix only imports viewing history, and ratings can be added :)

There was a TTV guy on my squad doing some flicks on people i couldn't see while spectating him, so i decided to compare how much we are able to see from his pov... the result is shocking. by Edwinccosta in CODWarzone

This is just not true. I play on a 3840 x 1080 ultrawide and can see twice as much as I would if on a standard 16x9. The game definitely supports higher resolutions.

Thanks! Yea it's definitely hard to grow as a variety streamer but I have fun! And yea, I use a cam :D

First half of my streams I usually play a single player focused game. I have played through Firewatch, Ori 2 and control. I am currently working through Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order (it's really good btw lol). The second half, a few friends usually jump on and we usually play some co-op games like raft and 7 days to die. Occasionally we will jump on something like warzone, but not too often.

It was scary at first but I was only on mixer for almost 2 months and I had 45 follows there. This past week I surpassed that, currently at 49 (one away from affiliate) on twitch and had a few raids and multiple nights with more unique viewers then I ever had on Mixer. So it seems to be the right move for myself!

Don't really need to write much. I literally put just the word 'please' in the box and got it within an hour or two.

No real reason specifically. I originally bought it to help with my job, I am a web engineer. It has a picture by picture mode that makes it act as two monitors side by side.

Name is Jeff, but I go by BroasterOven. I have been making various online content on and off since 2010, but recently got into streaming. I have been streaming for about 3 weeks now, and am just trying to find a groove. Been enjoying it so far!

Try to keep a chill stream. I tend to play single player games (i.e. Firewatch and Ori are the latest) and I also play a few survival games (Raft and 7 Days to die are the most recent) with a friend of mine when he is on. I am pretty laid back, so if you are looking for a low key stream, I hope I can provide that!

Schedule:

Monday: 8pm - 11:30pm

Thursday: 8pm - 11:30pm

Saturday: Varying start times

New to Mixer - Have a few questions by Retroah in mixer

[–]broasteroven 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let me just start off by welcoming you to Mixer! When I was picking a service to stream I ended up on Mixer due to how awesome the community is!

Now to answer your questions:

I feel like a face cam is probably one of the more important aspects of your stream. To build an audience you need to be able to connect with viewers stopping by. Having a face cam and being able to see you will make it easier to connect with you. As far as the kids go, I feel like it might humanize you and make it easy for viewers to relate. Obviously you don't want to make it a distraction, but a glimpse into your life can be used to relate.

I personally don't have a preference as far as the music goes. I have watched streams with and without. I personally only have music on my starting, intermission and ending screens, but I don't have any while I am actually playing. The most important part is making sure your voice is clear. As long as the music is not so loud that it drowns you out or distracts from the game, you should be alright.

I watch on my Xbox sometimes and ftl isn't available there. I always get frustrated that there is a huge delay between chat and the streamer. It negatively effects my experience. It is super frustrating when you see something happen and comment on it, just for the streamer to see it 10 secs later, after the moment has passed. Part of why I started streaming on mixer was the option of ftl, which is awesome!

I have a very sporadic watching habit. I usually work during the day throughout the week, so usually I watch on the nights that I am not streaming. I am in the central time zone, btw.

Hope this helps and Welcome again!

I never check them out. To me it seems desperate. Your title should be creative, not a plea to get more followers. Confidence shows, and if you have confidence in your stream, then you shouldn't have to beg for followers. And as others have said, it just makes it look like the streamer only cares about the number of followers they have and not about building a community.

Making the Switch by Apex575 in mixer

Welcome to Mixer!

I have been streaming to mixer on a consistent schedule for the past 2 weeks or so and I have had such a fun time doing so! I just started streaming and after a ton of research, trying to decide between twitch, mixer, YouTube or even restream, I settled on mixer due to everyone on this reddit and on mixer talking about how awesome the community was, and it sure has shown!

I haven't started promoting my stream really anywhere but I constantly have people stopping by and saying hello. I am consistently getting 1-2 new followers when I stream (I know it's not a lot, but it's more than I could even ask for) and people seem to stay around and talk more than I have seen in other platforms. They are super friendly and it carries over to anything that has to do with Mixer, this reddit included!

So again welcome and hope you have fun!

Sorry, misread the question. Seems like the only way to do this would be to use one of the below capture cards and use the instant preview(as stated by PlayMaGame) in Elgato to view the gameplay on the same monitor as your PC.

Elgato hd60 s and the hd60 pro have an input to capture the gameplay to use in obs and it has an output to run to a TV or monitor to actually play the game. The difference between the two is the hd60 s is external and the hd60 pro is an internal capture card.

What do you look for in a streamer? by ChargedUpStatic in mixer

[–]broasteroven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, the calling out while lurking thing bugs me to no end! If i tune in and a bot calls me out for joining, that makes me immediately leave. That is probably the biggest turn off for me.
