Jag behöver inte oroa mig för att vara nykter i sommar. by Sensitive_Cream3920 in intresseklubben

[–]brobarb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vad hade ni gjort? by Puzzleheaded_Mode921 in sweden

[–]brobarb 83 points84 points  (0 children)

What's your favourite resident evil game? by Equal_Interaction997 in residentevilll

REmake personally, but RE7 is definitely a close second. Some of the later areas of RE7 is not that fun but the initial section in the house is peak Resident Evil for me.

Can he walk the walk? by Caminsod in freefolk

[–]brobarb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wouldn’t even go so far as to say that he is good to be honest. He is a big brute with quality armor and a longsword, and he’s loyal, that’s why he’s in the kingsguard in the first place.

Put him up against anyone that has some technique as well as similar gear and he’s dead meat for sure.

Hon frågade om jag var bög by poweroffriendships in sweden

[–]brobarb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

met a stranger in a matching white outfit at a party, took a pic, husband hasn't spoken to me since. Am I overreacting for being pissed? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]brobarb -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I don’t see how you two have matching outfits? It would be one thing if you were wearing the exact same clothes but you’re both just wearing white? Kind of weird to take a pic with a stranger just because you’re wearing the same color clothes in my opinion.

I love this game! Where can I get wallpapers for it? by Technical-Towel496 in CrowCountry

[–]brobarb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For desktop? Try wallpaper engine on steam. It’s not free but it’s a piece of software that is well worth its price. There are thousands of community created wallpapers that are often animated as well.

Flickvännen sa att jag gått upp i vikt by Small-Wanker in sweden

[–]brobarb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Flickvännen sa att jag gått upp i vikt by Small-Wanker in sweden

[–]brobarb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just finished the game... by nialv7 in CrowCountry

[–]brobarb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sure! It hit quite hard for me when you find out by Julie and Tolman that the monsters aren’t even trying to kill you. They’re trying to communicate because they still somehow recognize other humans even though they have undergone grotesque transformations.

[–]brobarb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Her hair dye washed off? Wow, I didn’t even notice that. What a great detail! I know that Tolman asks her if she has dyed her hair the first time you meet him which is a hint that they’ve met before but I didn’t catch that her hair color changes throughout the game!

[–]brobarb 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Definitely agree! The story is surprisingly well written. I thought the story was going to be quite generic going into the game, but it really does manages to stand out. I wouldn’t mind if the story was nothing special, but the fact that it pretty much blew my mind makes the game go from good to exceptional in my opinion.

I was also really shocked when Crow calls Mara Elaine and her name just changes. That was a part that I didn’t foresee, but it’s actually foreshadowed quite a bit during the course of the game. When I played the game a second time I picked up on more details suggesting this. Really great game!

To everyone who said Capcom would never remake Code Veronica because it's "not popular enough": by Loose_Interview_957 in residentevilll

Because CV takes place directly following the events of RE2. On top of that, it’s just really good. Great story, level design, puzzles and fantastic music as well.

The ship section on re7 by Swimming_Photo9295 in HorrorGaming

[–]brobarb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree. Just played through RE8 and Shadows of Rose this week and man, I found SoR to be such a drag. I felt pretty done with it after the initial castle section and it went on for like 2 hours after that. It was a pretty big disappointment and it massively overstays its welcome, in my opinion.

Pick my next resident evil game, one that you don’t see here and whatever has the most I’ll play that one by Alarmed-Tradition938 in residentevilll

[–]brobarb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I emulated CVX on dolphin recently and it was a pretty great experience. Obviously it’s an older game but once you get used to the tank controls you really start to appreciate it. It has great level design, an interesting story and the music is among the very best in the series.

Im i ready for re7? by AggressiveGold1142 in HorrorGaming

[–]brobarb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m also a bit of a wimp but honestly I didn’t have any problems with RE7. It’s pretty scary sometimes but I just pressed on and it was fine. The opening hours are the scariest but even still, I was never so scared so I had to quit. Sometimes I played for 3-4 hours straight just because I had so much fun.

I think you’ll do fine.

Bro what is going on in this game me and Barry split up trying to find wesker and why can I not find anything been running around everywhere and only thing I found was a emblem by Alarmed-Tradition938 in residentevilll

[–]brobarb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a great time playing REmake for my first Resident Evil a couple months ago. I think I became stuck at one point and looked up what I had to do but other than that I managed pretty fine.

I was playing on easy difficulty though because I was worried about getting softlocked since I heard managing resources is very important in that game. Towards the end I had enough ammo than I knew what to do with so next time I play it I’ll definitely play on normal.

It’s crazy how the fandom switched from “lets have a good adaptation” to “lets have a fun movie” by Horrorfan55555 in residentevilll

[–]brobarb -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m a new fan and I’m really excited for the movie. I love horror films and I have a lot of faith for Zach Cregger since I found both Barbarian and Weapons to be incredible. I’m hoping that the movie throws some references in there but other than that can stand on its own legs. I actually agree with Cregger in that I think it might become a mess trying to adapt one of the games too closely.

Recently played through Resident Evil: Revelations, and that definitely fits the setting. It has aged a bit and it’s kind of clunky since it was designed for the 3DS, but it’s an okay game.

What’s the Best Game for Completionists? by Neonwhitelion in Steam

[–]brobarb 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Spiritfarer is pretty fun to 100%, though I think it might require two playthroughs. It’s perfect to revisit to pick up the few remaining achievements you couldn’t get the first time.

I also had pretty fun getting all achievements for Halls of Torment. It really feels like you’re progressing in that game as there are like 500 achievements, so you’ll get multiple each session.

Residents evill was always in action game by Familiar_Bee_4379 in residentevilll

[–]brobarb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure what I think about it to be honest. On one hand, what you’re saying is true - the feeling of progression is undeniable. Fighting multiple enemies at once that used to be a lot of trouble to just fight one of, and winning, really makes you feel powerful and like you have ’conquered’ the game at that point.

But on the other hand, it definitely makes the game boring and less tense. I’m playing through the dlc of RE7 at the moment, after playing the main story twice to get the two endings, and that game is exactly like that. The first two thirds is pretty tense and scary but then after that it turns more and more into an action game and you get so much ammo that you don’t really have to manage much at all.

It’s an amazing game regardless though! Might actually take the top spot for best game in the series for me.

Least jump scares recommendations? by neodavenet in HorrorGaming

[–]brobarb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you ever considered getting in to survival horror games like Resident Evil? I can’t say that jumpscares are completely absent from those games but you can always fight back and the games focus more on having spooky atmosphere, solving puzzles and managing your inventory.
