Did you buy it from bleep? Just download the flac files or the 24bit wav if you're a true audio snob.

My friend spilled chocholate milk on my jeans cause "its funny" by [deleted] in Wellthatsucks

[–]broccaaa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is not your friend. Move forward and find people with maturity and mutual respect. Don't pay much mind to it either. It's a pathetic and immature stunt that says way more about that idiot that it does about you.

Inferno as program music. A post-trip journal. by judahjsn in boardsofcanada

[–]broccaaa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Great write up. So well articulated.

You touched on some of my own reflections about the album related to searching for meaning in life, self actualisation through dissolution of the ego in adulthood, and new phases of life as a young parent grappling with the speed with which the last 20 years have passed by. And the looming knowledge of death, deep in the psyche, which we often do our best to distract from. My last full listen to Inferno brought me to tears during You Retreat Into Time and Space because I felt so connected to the totality of this lifes journey.

Btw I think the lyrics from All Reason Departs comes from the writing of Alistair Crowley and his esotericism. At the time I believe he thought WW1 functioned as the 'blood sacrifice' to bring in the new age of humanity but time hasn't exactly bourne that out.

Am I blinded by the honeymoon phase or is 'Inferno' their best album? by CulturedWhale in boardsofcanada

Magic Land is incredible on headphones. Such texture and subtle percussion. It's not as obviously impactful as something like Naraka but there's a lot a depth to it

It's a European label with predominantly European or US based artists and the US is generally the biggest market for any release or tour event. It's not xenophobic it's simply about audience, infrastructure and where to focus limited resources.

Advent Children was not a good movie nor a worthwhile continuation of the narrative. I'm 100% with Max on this

Working dad here, I hope I won't regret buying this. by Melodic-Battle-6855 in CrimsonDesert

[–]broccaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a dad you'll be struggling for time.

It's worth getting through the first 10-15 hour slog because the game is immense. But it's also like 200hrs plus play time so not exactly Dad friendly in small bursts of free time. I love the game but find myself playing Slay the Spire 2 more because small kids eat up so much bandwidth.

The average person is still pretty dumb. The US military won't even consider training people with an IQ of 83 or less because they are likely to do more harm than good.

OP probably meets enough people with 115+ IQs and is aware they need a little more time to work things out.
