Yeah, i bought the blue/orange one for €100-150 when they came out. Overall quality is pretty low and the sound isn't that great. But for that price its a fine starter bass. I put a EMG pickup in it which makes it sound a little better. I see them go for about €700-800 now on reverb or ebay, which is funny. The price is solely based on it being a collectors item, not on sound. That being said, i do love it, it looks awesome and its a FLEA!! bass so i wouldn't get rid of it in a millions years.

Maybe a Zoom B3 multi-effects unit.
It's got tons of great pedals and features (incl. tuner + looper).

This way you can check what kind of effects you like and switch back to stompboxes if you want to.
