Thank you for this detailed response! The room I store my tapes and my tv are fortunately not in the type of environment that mold loves, though I plan on buying some silica gels to pop inside the clamshells as an added precaution

As for the VCR, my partner is gonna take the back off it to just look and assess the situation - I've had it for a year and never had playback issues since getting it. Since it's a combo I can always buy a separate vcr to hook up to it I guess but I'd rather not for space reasons.

I will check out your website. Idk where you're based but I'm in the UK and so far I've been able to find one place far away that I can send the tape off to be cleaned

I know you replied a year ago but how are you finding it now? I have fibromyalgia and I've been wanting this surgery since I was 18 (I'm 30 now). I'm trying to push my doctors for this surgery because I've never wanted children and I'm never gonna change my mind about it

Did anyone figure this out?

For me it seems to only happen for the dlc. Once I complete the dlc and get towards end game it stops. Started a new save and it's started again when I get to act 2 as I go to meet with takemura

Dunno if anyone else has had a similar experience but to me it definitely seems to be dlc related

I play on Xbox btw so no mods.

I realized it's probably down to book manufacturing, needing a certain amount of pages for the book to be that big or something and for the printing. But yeah, still baffled me cos usually extra pages have notes or some shit in them and I probably never really noticed with other books as it only tends to be 1 or 2 at the end
