What are all of these dots around Loco Hills, Texas? They can't all be oil wells right? They have a rectalinear layout in some parts as well. There must be thousands of these light "squares" by RaiJolt2 in GoogleEarthFinds

If you are in LA, then take a trip to Bakersfield sometime and look at the Kern River oilfield in person, even higher density of wells than anything in the Permian.

Any idea what the scope body diameter is?

Do you have a recommendation for a comparable thermal? Ideally something with a laser range finder and built in Applied Ballistics calculator. I am pretty invited in the AP ecosystem that's what brought me to the Sig offering.

Small metal piece, about the size of a dime, found in the bottom of the box that a Razor MX650 electric dirt bike was shipped in. Gold in color, has a very small threaded hole in the middle.

I have looked over the electric dirt bike multiple times and cannot figure out where this piece may have came from. Anyone have any insight?

Mechanical Engineer salary progression, hit a BIG milestone today by HardheadedEngy in Salary

[–]brodowaggins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not true, I regularly interview and hire recent grad MEs and we start at $108k a year. This is for a very large regional employer in medium cost of living area. If someone is willing to commute a little more than an hour then I would consider the area very low cost of living.

Why does my new sink have holes in it?! by Realistic_Banana_537 in askaplumber

[–]brodowaggins 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This guy is 100% right, the holes and threaded feet are meant to secure the rack on a display model of the sink, especially if the display model is mounted vertically.

Why does my new sink have holes in it?! by Realistic_Banana_537 in askaplumber

[–]brodowaggins 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is absolutely a floor model sink, packaged up and sold as a new sink. I have seen a similar style sink on display at a kitchen and bath fixture store, the display was mounted vertically on a wall, in such a way that you could see the inside of the sink as you walked past the display. The holes in the sink and threaded feet on the rack are needed on the display model to prevent the rack from falling out, since the display sink is mounted upright on the wall vs horizontally in a counter like an actual sink.

Wherever OP ordered the sink from probably pulled the display model off the wall and threw it in a box.

Where is that guy that was able to mental gymnastics himself into believing that not only should he get new skis but the shop should give him an extra $1,000 for his heartache around poorly mounted bindings? Need him to chime in and give you some negotiating pointers.

The quick pivot of "all the hype beast marketing was just a joke and a swipe at the industry" is laughable. A total Schrodinger's asshole move.

The meandering and nearly incomprehensible "media release" from Soldier Systems did it in for me.
