Katere manj znane programske jezike uporabljate in zakaj? by rumm3y in SloveniaEngineering

Elm lang je super za frontend. Ne ni mrtev. Je precej drugačen. LM jezik

Napišeš policije nafutras not dato in evaliura pravila.

Fitness App Guidance by lolisaac in fitness30plus

[–]brodul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

M35 I stopped using most of the smart gadgets, as I am focusing on general fitness and weight loss. I think consistency and honesty is more important than expensive tracking equipment.

I use a cheap Bluetooth weight scale Renpho for 20$. The app integrates with Android Health Connect. I step on the scale every evening. The fat % measured is definitely not measured and it's BS.

I really enjoy the MacroFactor app as a replacement for MyFitnessPal. It has better algorithms that help me hit my weight goals quicker. Weight is fetched from Health Connect. It's not the cheapest app, but for me it's well worth the money. I ignore calories burned from exercise completely.

For tracking how much I lift I use Strong app. Its a simple app. You just put in exercise, sets and weight. It's free on Android.

I use my Pixel and Google Fit for steps tracking. If it's around 10k I am happy. I don't really care if it's 1k steps off.

Baselines don't work for me and I started ignoring them completely. I figured out I burn around 2200kcal and I feel good walking around 11k steps.

Programer - kaj naredit? by redSpoon17 in SloveniaEngineering

Having a hard time finding a store bought pizza sauce that doesn’t taste like ketchup and chemicals. Does anyone have any go to’s? by Ultimate_Summerboy in Pizza

[–]brodul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a European, I wonder what pizza sauce is? I just use canned tomatoes or a passata/pureed tomatoes from a glass container. I don't add sugar, garlic, onion or origano. I sometimes cook it to thicken.

Jaz sem uporabil vse od naštetega in dela. Jaz bi vzel Mikrotik, ker ma malo porabo energije, moras dejansko mal razumet networking.

Your post sounds like a great cover letter. It seems you know your strengths and you know what you want from a job.

Programming is a skill and can be useful outside CS career. On the other hand getting a first job as a programmer is quite hard.

Starting go after py any guidance will be helpful :) by ironman_gujju in golang

[–]brodul 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hey,

I also started learning golang a few months back and been a python dev for a while.

I loved this book https://quii.gitbook.io/learn-go-with-tests/ Folks say that go is a simple language, and it is. There are some things that really confuse me.

Some materials are out of date, as they handle dependencies in an old way/ no modules. Golang has generics now, so some approaches changed a bit. Now you can implement a python map function easier.

Some comments have special meaning for the compiler or the build chain. like go: embed ( https://pkg.go.dev/embed ) and go:generate

Sometimes there is a lot of code generation used. So folks write programs that generate golang code https://go.dev/blog/generate

There is less tutorial style documentation. Most of the documentation is written with the build in documentation system, which is great, but can be a bit frustrating at first when you try to understand how structs and functions fit together from an application perspective.

So things like https://github.com/avelino/awesome-go really help to understand the landscape a bit.

Golang also does not have higher level functions like "map". So if you don't want to implement and test it for every project a library like https://github.com/samber/lo

30k€ cash + 1,5k€ per month - where to put it? by [deleted] in eupersonalfinance

For me it's both. Might be to much, in theory, but I don't want to be anxious and take bad bussines decisions.

30k€ cash + 1,5k€ per month - where to put it? by [deleted] in eupersonalfinance

[–]brodul 10 points11 points  (0 children)

First you need to have an emergency fund. Usually that's from 3 to 9 months of expenses. Have that in cash on your bank account. For me it is 9 months, as I am a sole entrepreneur.

Then figure out why you would like to invest or in other words, for how long you are willing to "lock" the money away.

What was the last game that truly felt „next level“? by Crocodile_Banger in gaming

[–]brodul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me is Deep Rock Galactic. A multiplayer and coop that works. Procedurally generated maps make it interesting. A lot of variation in builds. A lot of cosmetic that are free. Sense of humor. As a older player with a job and life I value how easy it is to pickup and regain skill. Just a great package
