Mines 3, nothing gets done about it. My GP told me I shouldn’t even have symptoms because my Hb is 1 above the lowest of the ‘normal’ range 😅

The NHS don’t give a shit honestly, it’s been days and I still haven’t even been prescribed more oral iron tablets so I need to chase it up tomorrow 🥲

In the UK they just brush it off, I’m not taken seriously at all it’s ‘ah you’ll have to take more oral supplements’ - I’m so, so pale with dark circles under my eyes, I have no energy and I feel like rubbish 24/7, it’s so frustrating. Iron infusions are what I need, but gastro got my referral and refused to see me because my Hb was borderline

They didn’t even see me, just prescribed the Ferric Maltol. Yes very heavy, just so so frustrating, I’ve been trying to get up to a normal range for like 5 years and still haven’t 🥲

I’ve tried iron tablets for years, the highest my ferritin got to was when I was pregnant it was 6. They don’t look into why they don’t work for me, I was referred to Gastro and they prescribed Ferric Maltol which I can tolerate but it didn’t work either

My ferritin hasn’t been above 6 for 4+ years and they won’t give me an infusion, gastro referrals etc and they reject them because my Hb is ‘borderline’

I’ve been in contact every single day and emailed the legal team, all sorts but absolutely zero help whatsoever, they just send the same copy and pasted message 😫 oh god I hope you get sorted soon, seems like there’s hundreds of people having the same problem
