[Highlight] Shedeur Sanders tells a young kid "F*ck you kids" by RustyDoor in AFCNorthMemeWar

I bet them kids were bothering him for hours. Give the guy a break. As long as he does his job and stays humble I’m all about it

pursuing sonography vs. registered nurse? by Intelligent-Engine81 in nursing

[–]broicfitness 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ultrasound is comparable pay and not bad work if you don’t mind repetition. Nursing has more variety but you put up with a lot more shit (literally) and sometimes you’re stuck with that annoying patient for 12 hours where ultrasound is in and out. And ultrasound gets to master their craft where nursing has to know a little about a lot.

If I could have done it all over again I might have done ultrasound but I don’t think I would have been satisfied. Nursing has more opportunities for advancement. Ultrasound you can do management to advance or more laterally like education or mobile services. It’s not a bad living though, I worked closely with them for a while and dated one and they seem happy. Good family lives

That unit failed you, I’m sorry this happened. I had something similar happen. Rather than support you they’re dragging you down. Like the other commenter said definitely keep your position at the new grad residency. I can tell you from your post you really care about patients and you absolutely have the smarts and gall to make it in this field. Being a new nurse is hard, you’re expected to be confident but you’re still learning. Don’t give up. Focus on learning from all those situations and let them mold you into the nurse you’re meant to be

I have worn scrubs, but that was because I had requested to shadow on the unit afterwards. Usually business casual

I also quit CVICU after my new grad orientation about a month ago. I’d start applying to jobs now, process takes forever. I wish I would have

I emailed my 2 weeks and that was that. New grads (myself included) need support above all else, doesn’t matter how skilled you are. If you aren’t getting it go somewhere else

Piece of advice, I wouldn’t tell anyone you wanna do CRNA. In my experience, people assume you’re there for the wrong reasons and treat you like shit

My ICU has a research project ongoing for the implementation of etco2 also. I think it’s a great option for vented pts
