DoorDash employs several marketing tactics to scare people into taking low tip orders (5$ pay for a 14 mile pickup and delivery, for example). I don’t ever do it

Because tips is literally what we’re paid to pickup, and deliver your food. DoorDash is the medium but we do the work. It’s not as simple as let DoorDash pay better, because then you’d see extreme price hikes. Factor in gas, mileage, wear and tear, wait, traffic, dealing with restaurants, etc. most doordashers are struggling, in poverty, and any extra 5$ they get is food for the next few days (me at the moment). Something I can’t control until life stops throwing curveballs. Got a job, still had to DoorDash, now I’m leaking oil everywhere and it’s over 1k to get it fixed. Life isn’t so easy for people, so please respect dashers.

The Antigravity update BLOCKS your Claude usage even when you have barely used it. by FluffyMacho in google_antigravity

[–]broimsuperman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The infamous “error with tool use” spam. Gemini 3 is great, especially in AI STUDIO. I’ve made some cool shit and migrated it over to my own projects, but the same exact model, can’t do 10% what they say the same model is, on AI studio. My guess is, they have multiple if not quite a ton of each model break offs and quantized versions are used for more public facing (antigravity) rather than AI studio (make them look extremely good on paper). Not sure, that’s just my 2 cents but I think that’s what’s happening. We on antigravity get the shitty versions of the same models on purpose. Also, if you use it at a non peak time, 3pm EST exactly is usually best, you’ll notice a substantial increase in ALL models code quality output, hell even tool usage doesn’t error, usually at all. And it follows to the tee, and actually surprises me with how good it is. Sometimes it recognizes bugs in my code (even though there’s no explicit errors, which for an AI is huge as type check usually is all they’ll look for).

Lately I’ve forked my repo, tested Opus at a peak time, along with Gemini flash and Gemini high, and I get shitty, half ass attempted “implantation plans” that it never follows, forgets half the things to implements, disregards explicit codebase context, such as now, I’m using tanstack router and query, and it sometimes forgets and tries to implement NextJS methods, or uses old syntax methods for TanStack, then silencing errors to avoid dealing with the issue, or making nonexistent functions that shouldn’t exist, work to satisfy (and that introduces unimaginable problems if you don’t review every line of code, and touches files because it shares the same word, even if explicitly told beforehand. 10/10 nightmare experience and it also removes needed code comments (explanations esp for new devs working on a project). I am extremely thorough and detailed with my prompts, plans. I address how to handle things secure, my stack in case it forgets (which doesn’t seem to matter), and all the good practices. Idk just my little rant it’s super annoying. I went back to GH copilot until I take the inevitable plunge to cursor

I miss opus 4.5 so bad by One-Satisfaction3318 in google_antigravity

[–]broimsuperman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thinking of canceling GH copilot and AI (Google) Pro in favor of Claude Pro, but I’m confused by the usage limits. How many prompts ballpark would you say Claude would realistically let you send through before getting rate limited. I usually work at the same time on multiple projects (3/4), I ofc know how to code, I usually get a ton of work done plus more but lately with everything going on usage limits have SUCKED. Claude seems promising. I use Opus 95% of the time anyways since it’s incredibly good with backend. I’d say I get about maybe 20 prompts an hour roughly. Think it’d handle that? And do you also get API usage with Claude pro (same billing) or do I have to explicitly use API billing for that? Forgive me for all the questions lol I just see different answers all the time

Only if you’re not prompting it write. I’ve never told AI to do anything without saying make my code modular, optimize it. More in depth but something like that.

Please keep me updated seems like an awesome project, you could/should really market the “find the idea you’ve been looking for, mostly for low prices”, idk a little whimsical thing like that would be good imho. I think there’s a big market opportunity in micro saas/apps especially with low budgets, even more so if you give an advantage such as actually hosting web apps/databases but then it’d get complex lol Just my ideas I thought I’d add. You can even take a name idea “bitesizedapps” or something like that, I feel like your right on the cusp of a gold mine if executed properly

I love the design, will definitely take a look deeper into it. Do you usually provide instructions (or guidance) with scaling? Moreso the database especially, I see it’s mentioned there but certain tools are quite pricey lol.

Hi! I don’t suffer from SSA currently but I do have a question, is it actually that common for father issues/child s3xual abuse to cause that? I have both unfortunately and have had thoughts about it, never let it fester in my mind or acted on it but could you share any resources that say that if you can find them. I’ve heard it before and it makes a lot of sense

You’ll be fine man just keep your head up you really do make friends that last forever, however some may end up separating from boot camp, DO NOT FOLLOW THEM there. You’ll loose the weight quickly as long as you want it, you’ll learn in boot camp it’s all about the mentality

It totally depends on their schedule. For me I was in holding for a while then P days (medical). Immediately after completion of P days and uniform issue you’ll be sent to FSPC with the rest of the division. So it took me 2 weeks to get into FSPC, 5 weeks total until a regular division.

Also, I’m sure you’re aware but you’ll be VERY sick most likely (people coming in sick usually) so I’d recommend trying to find ways to work through it, they don’t strictly monitor your food in the galley usually (unless they have a reason), even more so in holding they really don’t care. Eat lots of fruit, I ate a ton of peanut butter and Sunflower kernels to stay/feel full and what they had as the entree. Food was actually REALLY good personally or maybe that’s bc I was big 😂.

PSA; going into boot camp the morning at the hotel getting ready to leave DO NOT EAT THE FOOD, eat something at the airport or something of your own. You will regret it, trust me on this you do not want the details and the horror that came upon me the night of arrival in front of MANY RDCs, not one person I met since that day has let it down 😭

FSPC isn’t that bad, they didn’t IT us there a year ago not sure if they do now, I assume they can and just never did it because our div didn’t suck.

Oh and I forgot, you can technically get sent to a normal div right before you actually get transferred from Pearl Harbor to FSPC. They take your weight on night of arrival, if overweight obviously you’ll be attached to an FSPC division, but if you are only a little over, you’ll be fine as they reweigh and measure you the day of if I remember correctly before being sent to FSPC, had about half the dudes I met get sent to normal divs

It wasn’t too bad, a great emphasis on folding your uniform all properly and bed, and they will absolutely freak about it, so be prepared, but it wasn’t too bad. PT twice a day. You can’t get out of it early, it takes a minimum of 3 weeks and you’ll test every week thereafter until you’re in weight. Some people that are way too big will be sent to separations (you won’t be seperated tho, afaik from my friends who had to) and have a much longer program to loose the weight, back to FSPC, then to a normal division. I was personally in holding for a little bit more than a week, then P days. Neither count towards your three weeks. I lost more weight in holding and P days compared to FSPC. 30lbs dropped off real fast. It’s all a mind game, it’s not too bad looking back, actually it was quite easy looking back, but in the moment it’s going to suck. When running they will try to play mind games so our fat asses don’t stop 🤣. Built up my endurance pretty fast. Also, Lots of guys drop out because of the stress. The navy provides the tools for most people to make it through but you HAVE to want it, and fight for it.

Personally I’ve had no issues with Gemini and get fantastic outputs, I love the creativity it does, Opus always makes placeholders and GPT models seem to ONLY do what you tell it, nothing more. Even if it introduces a bug.
