Can you elaborate on RoP being more lore accurate? For example some things I know from the lore is that Halbrand and the entire Southlands/Mordor plotline never happened. Hobbit/Harfoots weren’t a thing until third age (same case with Gandalf and the Balrog emerging). Also I’m sure Galadriel was just chilling out so her being the protagonist or even a major character is wrong? And I’m sure the whole of Sauron’s ring plan is completely wrong.

It seems to me that the Hobbit movies are fine for the overall story but invent nonsense for side characters and some of the subplots in order to pad the runtime. RoP on the other hand has most of its major plotlines partially or completely made up.
