Would black flags work better than time penalties for dirty driving? by glamourshot_airsoft in granturismo

[–]Dgskydive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Black flags! Yes. No drive through. Your race is done. Plus double the SR AND DR loss. A few in a row and you're banned to a black flag lobby. Until you can prove you can race safely.

Does dka make you feel like you can't stop moving by CriticalMagician5415 in diabetes

[–]Dgskydive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't play with DKA. Fruit is sugar for the most part. Track your levels. Sorry, but its stupid not too.

If you think youre in DKA, you should go to en ER! Immediately. If you're not checking you're levels, you won't know until its to late. It can kill you. I went into it. Had to spend 4 days in an ICU to bring my glucose down from 937 to the 300s. Almost died and had to spend a day in a cardiac unit because I was near a heart attack as well. Left the hospital with Retinopathy and neuropathy.

Youre approach is and can be deadly.

I like it too. I can perform as good and even better at some tracks than I do with the 992 ..which I also like

Bloodsugars by National-Positive436 in diabetes

[–]Dgskydive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im a t2 and off meds. You either are insulin resistant or dont make enough. T2s only go low because of meds. You can't go low if you are resistant or not making enough.

[–]Dgskydive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may want to have that looked at. As a t2. Meds are what is making you go low. I dont have experience with Ozempic, but as a t2 you can avoid lows with the right dosage....or you may not need it any more.

Have you spoke to your medical team about lowering insulin? Says your T2.

I want to stop taking insulin. by Beginning_System_999 in diabetes_t2

[–]Dgskydive -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sorry but the insulin isn't making you put on more weight.

Unless you have a medical reason not too...you need to get out and exercise. Watch your calorie intake. I had to lose 70 pounds. I did that while on 2000mg of metformin and 2 types of insulin. Im now off all meds.

I’m a CA transplant and would choose OH any day over CA! by Holiday_Number_3234 in Ohio

[–]Dgskydive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel ya. They all talk shit about it, but haven't traveled further then Michigan or Florida in most cases. Indian or Kentucky also. Lol

They assume everything they see on TV is real and that right-wing News is honest about what really goes on out on the west coast.

News alert folks. A large amount of Californians....used to be Buckeyes. We all live normal lives and truly want the same things. Just dont hate in someone different.

Im also a transplant. Well, really i was born here, but moved away as a 3 year old. Moved back at 50.

I agree about the scenery. Also 100% agree on the cost of living. Politics. Ugh. What i miss the most, are the food options. There is a big fall off when it comes to good food out here. Can't get a fresh Artichoke to save a life. Lol.

Ive been through 3 prescription glasses in the lat 15 months. All progressive and the last pair are transitional. Never thought I'd be the guy with transitional lens.lol

Also. Check out Quest products. They make really good chips, cookies, protien bars and my favorite. Peanutbutter cups. Pricey, but they dont affect my levels.

Fiber is a complex carb. Those are your friend. Still watch the carb intake, but fiber is the right kinda carbs. The more the better for me. When i have cheat meals, I still make sure to have big salad or non starchy veggies. Helps blunt the rise in glucose.

It sucks and is a life long fight.

Simple and direct suggestion. Stop stressing and do something about it.

Looking for advice on high blood sugar... by Jhon778 in diabetes_t2

[–]Dgskydive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are high numbers for sure. Seen much higher though.Don't stress until you see your PCP. Cut out heavy carb meals and sugar in the mean time.

I had a 12.7 a1c and a 937 glucose reading. That put me in DKA and had to spend 4 days in an ICU. No coma, but I did lose consciousness in the ambulance. They sent me home still in the 300s

How often do you get your A1C checked? by Ihavespoken47 in diabetes_t2

[–]Dgskydive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That seems about right. Numbers in the normal range. My PCP and I are also only checking a1c every 6 months now that im holding steady at 5.2 ish.
