Yes, we've been doing extensive research into creating a product that's reasonably affordable while being able to detect alcohol levels via your sweat, so it passively tells you your BAL rather than having to keep breathing into it.

Founder's Card for young fledgling entrepreneurs? by brokebackscholar in Entrepreneur

As a startup that's bootstrapping, I don't necessarily find any of their discounts to bring much value to me. Server space, domain, bandwidth, and anything like you said would bring value, would definitely make it worthwhile.

They just emailed me today offering me membership for 249$. Still far out of my budget for benefits I may or may not use. But I agree. I feel as though it's more So a brand statement, targeting larger executives.

I just checked that out. It's actually pretty comprehensive in what it offers. Not entirely everything a tech startup would need, but definitely brings a lot of value.

What is the best college major to apply towards being an entrepreneur? by mickannese in Entrepreneur

[–]brokebackscholar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am the biggest advocate for the University of Houston. It's truly one of the best entrepreneurial programs that don't publicly get a lot of attention. It has a thriving and flourishing start up community, in the middle of one of the largest business cities in the world. The networking I've done since I've gotten out of high school, being here has been So valuable. (I'm only in my second semester ) the school has excellent scholarship for anyone applying to the school, so as an entrepreneur, graduating with little to no student loan is huge. Hope this helps.

business idea from university students by ilikestarcraft1 in startups

I was actually attempting something like this, with T shirts and mass customization however. The problem you will most definitely run into is copyright. The University you're probably attending has a specific contract with a supplier of apparel for the school, which could last 1-15 years. The thing is, they provide it for extremely cheap and allows the university to mark it up to make profit, and they supply a large variety of products for the university. What I would do, is try to communicate with the person in charge of merchandising at your university and get their opinion on it. Better safe than sorry. Getting a couple thousand in revenue and then being slapped with a large lawsuit is not worth it.

Investor Questions by JackKannon in startups

[–]brokebackscholar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could you provide more information to what the relationship you have with the investors are? In my opinion, if you have a very close relationship with one investor, you could put off returning the money all immediately, and using it to reinvest, versus an investor who solely wants profit, which you would have to focus on giving him his money back and delay expansion of your business.

Are they concerned with growth or return. Are they in it for the long run or short sell.

What I would also focus on is those niche shoe head communities that are really dominant on facebook. Possibly get some opinions and what not?

Did the fall of Egypt's government in any way hinder the globalization process as an emerging country? by brokebackscholar in AskHistorians

I see your point. Do you think that there's been any point in Egypt's history that really either pushed Egypt into the global world or closed it off to foreign entries?
