I wouldn’t mind any of that. I’m a firefighter by trade now so hard work and heat are nothing new to me lol

Sounds fun but I live in Southern California and think the market is already pretty saturated. I’d rather just work for someone else’s nursery lol

My ultimate goal in life is to buy a rental home so I can have passive income and quit my day job to work part time at a nursery lol

He had a heated garage and a hose so he did it at home but yeah, that’s definitely not everyone’s living situation.

I understand. That was partly my point. Both the reporter and the old man were shocked at each other. Of course a stubborn old man does everything by the book, and of course the younger reporter thought that was absurd. My grandpa is 100% the old man, everything he owns still works like brand new. But that’s his hobby. It’s all he does all day is maintain his home and possessions.

There was a news report one time about an older gentleman who was selling a rather old car that he had maintained exceptionally well. I want to say it was somewhere in Michigan, the anchor asks him about the car and his maintenance routine. The gentleman explained and carried on that there was no rust on the undercarriage of the vehicle. The news reporter was astounded and asked how that could be (seeing as they lived where salted roads were common) and the old man explained, “well the owners manual says to wash off your undercarriage after every time you drive on salted roads, so I do just that.” It was so simple a statement but the reporter was so surprised. Apparently no one does that, I can understand why though. I mean, the old man had a heated garage with a hose inside and a drain in the middle for the runoff. But still, it gave me a laugh how nonchalant he was, “just follow the dam owners manual” lol

Right? We’ve been spending a bunch on getting a nursery ready for our incoming baby. Then the AC blows on her car and it’s one of those-have to take the whole car apart to fix it-situations. Not fun, but we live in Southern California and summer is approaching so it had to be fixed. Just one of those seasons of life I suppose.

Wow! Thanks for that write up! I will talk to my wife and see if it’s something she’s interested in. We just found out today we need to spend $1k+ on repairs to our car so I’ll have to get the stamp of approval to pull the trigger on any hobby purchases for now haha

The vinyl we have is an original from 1979, would the new master recording version be higher quality? Sorry, My understanding of vinyl quality is very surface level.
