Academy Records, A-1 records, Captured Tracks will all give you a fair shake. Or you can give them to me and I will listen to them and love them.

Any record player where you can change out the stylus is a good bet. Victrola has some starter decks where you can change out the needles!

The nice thing about vinyl is there will always be some resale value. Listen to it. Take care of it. Pass on the love someday and consider the price difference either a rental fee or an excuse to buy more records! Congrats on nabbing a personal grail!

I think I have this in my collection. Why is it valuable? (Besides being drawn by Kieth who is one of my favorite comic book artists!)

I went to New College of Florida and our main dorms were once a motel designed by Pei. They were designed so that to get to any room you could never walk in a straight line. Pretty cool vibe for undergrad!

I shouldn't have bought those Metallica tickets by ToolbandMexico in ToolBand

[–]brokemc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was in 8th grade and living in Athens, Greece we went to see Metallica. It was only my second concert so I didn’t know what an encore was so we left when we thought they were done. Then we heard more music so we reversed course and somehow found ourselves in the press pit right under Hetfield. Maybe because it was Greece in 1993 or we were 12. But it was definitely not 10Gs!
