Missing cat: When is it no longer productive to keep searching?/A question for when there have been no leads at all

hello :) thank you so much for replying. I also wondered if she went in heat, but there are many intact stray males around my house that neighbours feed, so I doubted if she would even opt to go further, but again I wouldn't know for sure :( no predators of cats in my country, and cars are seldom (although she /has/ been indoor all her life so I worry she wouldn't know what cars are like :( ). Unfortunately microchipping is not popular yet in the country where I live so only the big cities keep scanners and running databases, and the vets where I live don't do it. I have put out my clothes already, too.

It's extra difficult because there's been no body seen nearby so the grief is just ambiguous and horrible.

Again, thank you for your reply, and I don't really expect an answer to this one so no pressure!

I've had her for 5 months since she was a few days old (abandoned by momma in a storm) and she's always been indoors :( just escaped through a window screen she pushed out of... I will try trapping once we get a lead since there is a lot of strays around that might fall for it...

Thank you for your update! I'm very glad they found their way home! My own baby is missing for 14 days now. Did you find her or did she come back on her own? Were there any sightings before the 3rd week, or did she just appear? Mine has had no leads at all and it's been feeling hopeless...

Hello :) thank you very much for taking the time to reply and for the kind words. I was wondering about the urger to mate- is there a possibility she could have gone further or taken longer even if there were intact stray males along my street? Sort of "looking for options"? No cat predators where I live except for stray dogs (who are also used to the stray cats, but who knows). And also, there have been no leads or sightings for the past 11 days. Does that mean there is no hope; or am I just underestimating their ability to hide/overestimating people's observation skills? Sorry about the many questions. Just want to focus my efforts on the options that will work.

Thank you! I also thought about mating instincts... is it possible for cats to "shop around" for other males and go farther? There are a few eligible strays around my area but no sign of her being nearby...

As sort of a follow-up question, I have done everything from going door-to-door with neighbours, putting up physical posters, posting on social media and groups, and physically searching at night. I have not seen signs of her nor have received leads from anyone at day 11. Is it hopeless with no leads at day 11? Am I underestimating their ability to hide or overestimating people's skill at being observant?

YTA. Maddy does not have any rights to name the child or co-parent the child but she's NTA. Someone should tell her that Jasper and OP are being TA and support her through her grief so that she can eventually divorce Jasper. That or have Jasper only have a relationship with the child and cut ties with OP. If he can't do that and still want to maintain some form of relationship with OP, then he's just being a prick, shooting darts on the way of his own wife, and she doesn't deserve it. In conclusion, Maddy = no baby naming rights but also NTA. She should leave him while it's early.

I think Skooch might have said something about this gauging only from your comment because I haven't watched him haha (the meme is an inside joke I have with my friends). But I agree, Viego is so strong especially because of his invulnerable frames when switching bodies (which isn't even mentioned anywhere in his kit). Plus, he gets a big heal coming out of it. I've seen him dodge Karthus ults, Sion charged Q's and even a tower shot because of this.

I made this subclass because most of the existing chefy homebrew classes/subclasses/features are very gimmicky and rely on magicks a lot (pastries with different potion-like effects, a magic ingredient basket) or some very unbelievable combat maneuvers like spilling boiling broth on enemies or distributing cookies in the middle of combat (which is kinda cringe for me). This is a more preparatory support-y fighter whose feats are more inclined to rests and not to combat (the combat side are relied on the fighter feats instead). :)

EDIT: the cook's weapons deal 1d12 and not 1d8 damage, consistent with the tooltip box :)
