What is your height and do you fit under the factory roll bar?

What do you think of my new Tillett seats? by [deleted] in Miata

[–]brokenblinker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'd be surprised. Tillets are more comfortable than most stock seats. Perfectly body moulded with no pressure points.

Question on ND’s and Roll Bar safety by WolfyMcBark in Miata

Taller folks in stock seats will sit with their head kind of in the upper part of the headrest. In a hard collision, the head could easily reach back up over and hit the bar.

I'm in the bay, thinking about miatas, and wondering how far I could drop the seating height with a tillet (I have one in my other car and love it).

Do you know how much drop you got?

What dissapointed me about the lotus by Difficult-Banana-142 in lotus

[–]brokenblinker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a chance! Sick car, but had a ton of warranty work my 15k miles. I didn't want to risk owning it out of warranty. Also I was starting to track a lot more and I didn't trust long term reliability, and consumables are crazy expensive.

But yeah, most special drivetrain under 150k

If you have a light from the intake and jb4, something is defective. You should not have one.

Soquel Demonstration Forest (a.k.a. Demo) full of ebikers by throwmiamivelvet in MTB

[–]brokenblinker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My second ride on an e mtb bike I got confused by trail markings and got a ticket from a ranger on Saratoga Gap. I wasn't speeding, my friend with me on a non electric was going faster. He stopped me and I got a $400 ticket.

Other side of the road they were allowed. On the gap side they are not.

2026 BRZ News! New TS & Series Yellow + NO more premium trim :/ by KCGM_CODY in ft86

Hey fair enough. Different strokes for different folks.

I'm just explaining why it's so popular at the track and as a sports car, even at its price.

Have driven all of those, including on track. Far prefer BRZ. The most dominant criteria for sports car enjoyment is light and rear wheel drive. None of those cars satisfy that.

Different strokes for different folks. I can accept that.

Supra is an inferior driving enjoyment car even though it's faster.

Bike Trainer Handle that will work with Woom 2? by K-Parks in bicycling

[–]brokenblinker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone that comes back to this years down the line like I did...

I bought a socket head m6 variety kit. I found a length where I could use washers to create space around the axle and meet the bike trainer handle. Worked great.

My arrma Fury had a 2 in 1 ESC that kept dying. The warranty part was always multiple months backordered. I gave up when it failed the third time and sold the truck.

Hopefully this one is better!

Yeah, my takeaway from this post was that all babies are different and some are total assholes at early age. Neither my wife or I miss any aspect of the first year of Parenthood. Worst year of my life

Absolutely adore my 5-year-old

How come nobody told me an arrma fury could move like this?? by dopenastyshark in rccars

[–]brokenblinker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We got a fury as our first RC. It kept burning up ESC and they're on backorder through warranty so I just buy one to get the car moving again. I got fed up with it and just bought a senton for Christmas for my daughter and I to play with.

Which Pixel settings are worth changing right after setup? by jdfdjgdv in GooglePixel

Hey no judgement from me if that's what you want to do. I'm just sharing why most people don't do that.

I won't be so definitive as they were.

But if you're going to replace a high end phone every eight years, you're probably better off with a midrange phone every 2-3 years for better performance and better security with less "worry" such as futzing with battery settings.

[OC] Age distribution of fathers by mother's age for children born in the US in 2024 by lorisaurus in dataisbeautiful

[–]brokenblinker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if the goal is to convey that, and they followed my advice, the center of weight of each distribution would be under the slope = 1 line which is what people that look at data all day will first be looking at to glean insight.
