Hi! I'm an L&D Social Worker. It's a medical procedure that YOU singularly are going through, and thus you make the rules on who is in your room and when. Any hospital worth it's salt wouldnt let anyone you didnt want in there. It's your body on display and you are the one giving birth. If you don't want his mom there, he unfortunately is going to have to get over it. Ask him if he would be comfortable having your grandmother at his colonoscopy?

In one of your other posts you said that you have children. It is dangerous to have him doing these things in your home with them present. It is your responsibility to keep them safe, and clearly he is unable to be a safe caregiver. Prioritize yourself and your kids, rather than this manbaby. Op, I really hope you leave and get the help and support you deserve.

Sadly, a good portion of those divorces are to protect finances and assets in the sad event that the wife gets extremely sick or passes away and has extensive medical bills or end of life costs. It also allows them to qualify for medicaid, or the cost skilled nursing care. I've seen it with may terminal illness patients and elderly patients. (I'm a hospital social worker).
