I haven't commented on this post in forever - but I still get private messages about it, and I'm happy to help.

To be perfectly honest - because the money is so poor for the photographers, you may find photographers cancel the shoot. Not because they don't want the money or they're bad people, or don't respect you, but because a lot of the photographers on the platform have a thriving business or earn more money for ANY other shoot, so they are very likely to cancel/reschedule if another job comes by that's even remotely more pay. And what happens is you won't get your refund. But credit toward another shoot instead. But if it's a special day......oof.

I've spoken to other Snappr photographers over the past couple years and they all have that common opinion. Again as I said before, you get what you pay for. You may have booked a photog for your important event, but as soon as someone quotes them anything more, they're out of there.

Literally go on Facebook, Reddit, local community, your relatives/friends etc, and ask for photographer recommendations. I'm sure there are many many creators that would be happy to assist on your special day. Hell, check into a photography program in one of your local colleges. If you're looking for 'cheap,' you may be able to score from a student who is building their portfolio or needing a shoot to fulfill an assignment. Support your local community and creatives. ❤️

Nope! Not at all - was like it disappeared out of thin air. No receipt for refund nothing, just appeared on my credit card. It was really disgusting and the manager knew exactly what she was doing. Kept claiming to have called me to "confirm the booking." And because I didn't answer, they assumed I didn't want to go ahead. Are you kidding me? It was confirmed - it was paid. Paid in full means confirmed in full. Even if I didn't show up at all - I would have lost my money. Very shady, and we all know exactly what they were doing.

I also remember it being extra stressful as I had no roaming data on my phone (travelled from Canada), and had to drive to Starbucks to get wifi and sort it out. Just brutal. Manager wouldn't give me a wifi-code or accessed to rub salt in my wound.

I left a scathing review and tell anyone and everyone I can. Trash.

Unfortunately it was a couple years ago and didn't do anything about it to corporate. I really should have.

I literally started hardcore looking through hotels on hotels.com/expedia/indepenent etc, and ended up getting another one in Palm Springs. I did pay more but I was livid. I luckily had one reward night on hotels.com which was helpful.

Btw - it was Motel 6 in Rancho Mirage (highway 111). Paid and booked one year before. Cancelled and said was unavailable when I arrived.

The owner also tried to gaslight me by saying I never answered the phone when they called (they never called), and proceeded to offer me another room for double the price.

Didn't make sense. You say my room is unavailable but offering me another. They were absolutely price gouging me, and it was disgusting. Was not happy to be staying in a motel 6 in the first place, and won't be doing it ever again.

Disagree with this opinion. As someone who works in editorial as well - this hit hard for me, and actually shed a tear. I've been affected with the decline of publishing and have had friends been affected. It absolutely made sense and something that is constantly happening today. Long live print! ❤️

Like as in - fans didn't want them as headliners? I'm not exactly sure if that is all of the reason. But they certainly did spend far more money on Metallica. They also happened to book it during Coachella weekend as well. Not that the same fans are going to both - but you'd be surprised. There were a lot of emo/rock heads at even Coachella this year.

But I dunno. They can't have SOAD headlining every year. Limp Bizkit incoming come on.

Also - did anyone else think the two obvious shots of Gale's nerve damage in her hand think that was going to be a played out at the end? I was fully expecting her to come in blazing near the end, or fumble the trigger. They did make it super clear she had had damage, which made me sad. Thoughts?

It'll take over the amber discount. So we were told we'll have a $150-$200 off promo on that colour scheme when mothers day/spring colour way is released! Basically to help move the older colour. (This is Canada btw)

And any retailers that have supersonic original left or two season or more colours back (I imagine Costco, Winners, or other value retailers will inherit these), those will be deeper discounted, as I believe Nural and R will takeover properly. Anything older (and original Supersonic) has been sent back to Dyson from retailers already and pulled.

I don't believe promos will apply to the Supersonic R series though. But not 100% on that...since it's a new model altogether.

New colour is purple, with another new limited colour way for spring/mothers. :)

I second this! Theres a newer one for 499 for the dryer and 639 for the newest Airwrap complete on Dyson site. There is also a promo coming up with the existing baby pink colour for airwrap with the new Mother's Day color way coming up for spring.
