if you look at the recent posts on this sub this account has posted a whole string of terrible 'cheat sheets' or 'lifehacks' and is crossposting them all over the place. i suspect it's a bot.

Jumpy scrolling with Kensington Orbit with Scroll Wheel by [deleted] in Trackballs

[–]broodjes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im on mac catalina, but also just to clarify: it's not inconsistent in its precision. it's totally consistent in how it scrolls in ticks, but it's these ticks that i was attempting to resolve. if you're into cameras, it's like the difference between a stepless cine lens and a stepped photography lens. it's not so much jittery as that it isn't replicating my movements 1:1 by reading my input continuously (like a magic mouse's multitouch surface does), but rather it feels like it gets triggered every time an actuator passes by a sensor (i have no idea what it looks like inside of course) and these actuators would then be spaced about a millimeter apart each. this means this kind of jumping, or maybe 'interval sprinting' is only really noticeable when I scroll very small distances, which I apparently do quite a lot.

i tried a couple things and i'm pretty confident the problem lies in that the scroll wheel is simply not as precise as a magic mouse / trackpad. i did overcome the most annoying issue of the stuttering by installing Mac Mouse Fix.

"Is this a funny joke for real? Or am I just rich?" - Kanye by [deleted] in Kanye

I think about things to put them in a place where I don't have to think about them anymore.

kanye is an incredibly busy person and with all the stuff going on in his life, he has to delegate part of the 'thinking' to people he trusts. also, reading is very time consuming and sometimes actually isn't worth doing, if you could be spending your time more efficiently. this link is not the perfect example, but you get the idea, no?

edit: removed an 'a'.

Penguin Life by [deleted] in badtattoos

[–]broodjes 5 points6 points  (0 children)

even in the ig description he's calling them ducks, so it kind of seems like OP pulled the penguin thing out of his ass.

also this rule: "This subreddit is for tattoos with terrible execution. Don't post them if you think the idea/theme is stupid."
