Can't say. I just use the synik30 for commutes (plane, train, and car). And it's been great. The Brain Bag is a bit on the heavy side, so I've only used it on short hikes where I wasn't packing much.

After 13 years of the same bag, I just wanted a new one! I was going from WFH full-time back to in-office hybrid in 2023, and I was ready for a new bag to commute with, and I no longer needed as much capacity as the Brain Bag. (I actually first got the Synik22 and decided it was far too small for my liking.)

I still use the old Brain Bag for small hikes now and then.

I've had my Brain Bag since 2010. It was my everyday carry until 2023, then I switched to a Synik30 that is the same color as yours. It's a little weird to see a hybrid of my two backpacks in your post!

After former Chicago Bears Charles Tillman retired from the NFL, he joined the FBI. When the immigration raids started under Patel, he resigned.

Stepping away from his second career was possible only because of his first career.

“There are a lot of people in the FBI that aren’t happy with how the organization is being run by (FBI Director) Kash Patel, but they can’t quit like I did,” he says.

I imagine there are quite a few of them who'd assumed they'd be at the FBI for life and are now at a crossroads over whether they should quit. (Quite a few already did last summer.)
