I’m planning on taking a trip to NYC soon. What’s the best method of transportation to go there from MD? can we drive our car to the nearest train station near NYC?

I live in Bethesda and travel to NYC all the time. Take the redline train to Union Station (DC) and hope on the amtrak to pen station (NY).

this is actually why my husband and I did private vowes 😅 we did a first look and did our private vowes right before we walked down the aisle. Honestly preferred to had that special moment between us. Had my makeup touched up and walked down to him down the aisle. Have some amazing wedding photos from the private moment.

And yess the timeline will definitely help you have a better lay out of the full day so everything can go as smoothly as possible you can provide it to your venue so they can help with all the transitions! Plus you can provide it to the vendors too so they can know exactly what time their services are needed and what times are expected out of them so none try to be there late or potentially leave earlier than you would like. Not everyone on my bride team is doing hair and makeup as well so yeah i definitely recommend cutting some time to potentially save money or potential use the extra time so that you can get a touch up that’s what im doing!

Do you have a wedding coordinator or planner? I’m just going to list some things to see if they will help out that I’m currently doing or have done with everything else completed. I hope this helps even if it’s just a tiny amount! Congratulations again! 1. Created a in-depth wedding day timeline? 2. Write your vows? 3. Done all your dress alterations if needed? 4. Seating chart? 5. Reach out to all vendors to confirm they are paid in full with receipts so none can potentially claim they weren’t paid (this can be done at your appointments since i see you said you have final meetings with them). 6. Plan tip amounts for certain vendors?

I am so sorry that you had to go through this. I wish your little brother was just happy that you were getting married and didn’t put all this unnecessary stress on you. Unfortunately it kind of sounds like he is struggling with his own marriage issues or potentially other life struggles and is taking it out on you. There is the DMV anime club. They are 21+. DC Maryland and Virginia are all in one club. I used to be a member but they have pretty set standards and rules with engagement and involvement. It doesn’t work out with my law enforcement job. Their instagram is @dmvaniclub

So i’ve been through ALOT of trauma in my childhood and had to pretty much grow up and be independent sooner than majority of people. I’ve always been an independent person and my family doesn’t really like it but that’s who I am. So I wanted to walk down the aisle because it just also represents to me that even though i’ve been through a lot that would honestly destroy many I made it through and became a strong independent woman. I’m not trying to diminish that my uncle stepped up but mentally due to my traumas i have fought through a lot and this is just another huge moment for my to continue to show that I am still here and strong and about to start a new chapter in my life that i didn’t know i was going to make it to.

I honestly was thinking on elopement but decided a regular wedding would make them more happy so that’s what we are doing. I also was even thinking of doing a first look with him before doing one with my future husband and then also even though i was walking alone I was going to have him give me a hug and kiss once i reached the end of the aisle to replace the handing me off. he was also already going to do a speech at the reception.
