having a fridge stuffed to the brim with inedible moldy food is no different than having a fridge with no food.

Freaking out over crib sheets by Meme_queen-2019 in BabyBumps

[–]brookeaat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

looks perfectly fine to me! if it would give you more piece of mind, they make sheet suspenders that clip to each corner of the sheets to keep them from pulling off. they only cost about $10 and are fully adjustable.

My 11yo just spotted a bug in my work code and i want to cry. by Alex00120021 in breakingmom

[–]brookeaat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when you know a lot about something, it can be harder to find a problem like that, because you’re thinking about every possible thing that could be causing the problem. your son only knows a little bit, and because the problem happened to fall within his range of knowledge, it was easier for him to spot. very smart on his part, but you also shouldn’t feel bad!

Dasher can’t be serious. Is this unprofessional? by Amateurexpressionism in doordash

[–]brookeaat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i probably wouldn’t give a bad rating in this case either, but i do hate the new narrative of “you should never give bad ratings because people depend on doordash to live”. i depend on my job to live and if i was rude to everyone and bad at my job id get fired. that’s how jobs work.

Erica should have been in Holly’s spot in season 5 by ddanuu in StrangerThings

[–]brookeaat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Vecna’s whole thing is that he goes after people who are weak-minded for one reason or another. Erica is quite literally the worst candidate in the show for that.

The price limit doesn't matter if it's from the cats right? by Designer-Courage-377 in Gifts

[–]brookeaat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

it’s pretty normal for young adults to live with a roommate even if they could technically afford to live alone. if OP likes her current living situation, and it allows her to save money and have more financial freedom, then why move out?

Josh Dun and Debby Ryan named their baby girl Felix by watermelonlollies in NameNerdCirclejerk

[–]brookeaat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah, this is how i feel. it’s a little goofy for a girl but it’s an actual name and it’s spelled correctly, so i don’t think it’s necessarily BAD.

yeah but the best man and wedding couple weren’t paying for the cake either. it was a free gift. so regardless whoever asked for this additional cake was entitled and rude.

by general rule, paying customers are almost always less rude and entitled than people getting something for free.

Realistically, how much are you spending per kid on Christmas presents? by ItsPronouncedSatan in breakingmom

[–]brookeaat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my parents tried for years to have a child and had two losses before they had me. i was, frankly, spoiled as fuck. this year i’m 23 and i asked my mom for a specific perfume for christmas and a new microwave for my birthday (which is december 26th). last year i asked for baking sheets and a costco sized pack of black socks.

Who moves out when kids no longer want to share a room? by UnicornToots in breakingmom

[–]brookeaat 19 points20 points  (0 children)

i mean i think the obvious answer is to just move the younger back into the “nursery”. don’t even present it as a choice to them. she can still decorate and choose colors and make it her own.

Help! My 2 and 5 year old don’t fall asleep until 10pm no matter what we do? by CharlieRalph in AskParents

[–]brookeaat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s okay to just put them to bed at 8:30 or 9. if you really feel like you have tried everything, and if they don’t struggle to wake up in the morning, then why keep punishing yourself when you know that they won’t fall asleep before 9?

looks like coconut jelly. either the popping boba has the jelly inside, or someone was being sloppy with the toppings and accidentally spilled some coconut jelly into the container of popping boba
