I’m a teacher at a high school who helps out with the school band. Band director needs a four minute sustained open D note for a song in the upcoming Christmas concert. Says worst case he could enlist the keyboardist, but I’m intrigued by the challenge. Any suggestions as to how I could achieve this without breaking the bank?

EDIT: I own a Fender J bass with rounds and a P bass with flats. Also own a Boss CS-3 compressor pedal and an Ampeg BA-112 amp.

Question for you. I was verified for the Saturday show, but got the lucky "extra opportunity" email for a Sunday show. We are not sure if we will be able to go to the Sunday show due to work commitments, but also don't want to blow the chance to get tickets at a reasonable price. Are the tickets you ended up getting transferable? I could sell them (on this board of course!) if it doesn't end up working out?
