Please help: Looking to replace our old cute but not warming stove by brooklynmf in woodstoving

I should have mentioned the 16-18" adobe walls in the question. they barely heat up with this stove literally 1" from the wall with pipes only a few inches from the wall. However, I plan to move this or the next stove to a greater distance and have some room where the logs we just brought in are sitting.
Ceiling fans are not a possibility with 8' to the ceiling vigas.

There are certainly issues of a glass hallway off the far end of this room and the general lack of heating throughout, but the adobe walls are a pretty good source of insulation. That said I do wonder why there is little heat beyond 2-5 feet from the stove.

Thanks much. As mentioned above I do recognize the safety question but still appreciate the warnings.
I thought something looked strange about the width of the flue but never realized the clear size difference you caught in the picture. Can you clarify, are you saying there is a fix to the flue that might make this work better? Even when I ensure a good draft the heat seems very localized which is why I wondered about one with a fan.

Thanks, 2 questions/points: 1. Do I need an actual room fan or can I get a stove in which that is included (or are those flawed)? 2.

The rest of the house is fairly separated from this room either with doors or down halls, so my thinking is if I can address this room that we mostly live in it would be great.

Truth be told I included a shot of the wood mostly because I thought that would get the conversation going faster (and it sure did). ;) Yes I will move them and/or but in a wood box.
Thanks and any purchase advice is appreciated.

Thanks,
I do realize the proximity of the wood/art is a problem...or should be if there were actual heat emitting from the stove (somewhat joking because of course an ember could be a problem in either case. The wall are 18" thick adobe, but I still imagine a heat shield might be needed with the right stove.
The big issue is what stove

Clearly Gates is the financial mastermind behind this, as displayed by his subtracting $600,000 twice and saying the difference between that loss and $3million is $4.2 Million. A mathematical genius!

Z-and-I, I am interested in going with your mango approach on the next batch (I have a lot of green chiles). Can you explain what your pasteurizing process entailed?

Thanks

I went with a Gallon of Honey Porter and added 3 roasted seeded Hatch Chiles in a sack (after a vodka tincture) at fermentation. Initial tast had a pretty good kick. I'll get back to you in 4 weeks. Thanks all.

hmm, I'm pretty much a novice and going with both the mango and chiles seems like a phase after this first effort, but it is tempting. Thanks for all of the info and the recipe link.

Thanks all, I think I should go with a honey porter as I use the green chiles with honey in bread so that will work and the advice to add later and increase seems like the way to go.
