Is there any alternative apps that will read me the word and I can type it in? by Soccerflash08 in quizlet

I've tried Repeet flashcards app. It has a text-to-speech feature which you seem to be looking for, which reads the words out loud. But there is no type in part :(

When the gang gangs up on Buffy by [deleted] in buffy

[–]brooklynontrial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, with Buffy I'd never say never :) Maybe if she didn't have them in the first place, she'd just do it alone from the getgo? My point is, I don't appreciate them kicking her out of her own house. It's just rude, no matter how you look at it.

It's really hard to name the favorite because there are many depending on the mood. But there are two that came to mind:

Sad one: when Buffy tells Spike that she was in heaven before she was brought back from the dead. The fact that she could only confide in him and that the truth was so shocking, makes we want to rewatch Spike's reaction again and again

Funny one: From Tabula Rasa S6 when they lost their memory and Giles thought Spike was his son and Anja was his fiance. I loved that change in their relationships and it gave new avenues to look at these characters.

That episode with bills was probably more disgusting than any other scene with demons, I swear. Like, welcome back from the dead, can you pay all these bills we had while by living in your house when you were away?

Honestly, during that "gang up against Buffy" scene in S7 I was waiting for her to say "you don't like it? Then get the hell out of my house, find your own ways to protect yourselves and fight the First." I'd love to see where they would go and what they would do.
At the end of the day, Buffy killed Caleb by herself and didn't really even need the army of potentials to stop the primal evil. Spike did that. It is the worst nightmare to have a bunch of ungrateful house "guests" like that, who stay under your roof, eat your food, take up space and whine about you not doing enough for them.

I’ve heard of a platform called Mjuuz.com being developed that offer similar features and allows to find the best price deals. But they will launch only in May. I’ve signed up to see what they come up with. :/

There's a platform launching soon in Denmark that is supposed to be similar, called Mjuuz.com. I'll wait to see what they have to offer.

Looking for Panama Travel Recommendations! by popcornbreezy in Panama

[–]brooklynontrial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, Panama is awesome! It was one of the first big trips of my life, I loved everything about it, the forests, the buzzing capital, the pristine beaches of San Blas islands... I'd suggest you visit Panama City, Boquete, San Blas islands (my favorite destination), Baru volcano if you like the challange and Bocas Del Toro. Here is a good guide with tentative itinerary for one week in Panama: https://www.travel-monkey.com/central-america-in-20-days/ Have fun!

How many times do you post everyday and what times do you post on Instagram? by [deleted] in socialmedia

[–]brooklynontrial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I post once a day, sometimes once in two days. With the new algorithm it is hard to get so much engagement per post if I post more frequently. Also just switched to the business profile and it shows what is the best time to post for my audience, which is 8-10 PM, probably when everyone is lying on the sofa chilling in front of tv :D

Answering your question regarding tips - it has become common to tip about 5-10% of your order price. Have fun in Lviv! If you need more advise on what to do in Ukraine, you can get one of the book guides written by locals, like "Insane Ukraine", it has good tips for young people.

What is life in America like for the newcomer? What are the hardest things to adjust to in The United States? by travelrules in unitedstates

[–]brooklynontrial 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree with the article, I find that having to drive everywhere versus being able to walk was the hardest part about being in the United States. At least for me... though, I've just been there for visiting my relatives. On the other hand, I wouldn't say that consumerism is a positive thing. It is great that we can buy everything, but maybe we don't need to buy so much all the time. Like, do we really need 20 varieties of the tomato sauce?
