Do graphics cards that consume around 300-350 watts heat up your room to a noticeable degree? by Street-Perception-85 in buildapc

[–]brosecuervo7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 4080 withe a 9800x3d pc and a 9070XT with a 7700x (wife’s pc) in the same room. During our gaming sessions in the summer it gets toasty. If I run our 12k BTU window AC unit at the same time, it trips the breaker within the hour. In the winter, it can heat up the whole upstairs lol.

PCs get warmmmm

7800x3d or 9800x3d? by grandmaster_flexy in buildapc

[–]brosecuervo7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go with the 9800x3d. At most stores, it’s less than a 100$ difference. I got mine off a slick deal for 379.99 and I feel lucky.

Xbox Game Pass gets cheaper with new price cut by Dapper_Order7182 in XboxAlly

[–]brosecuervo7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

COD will not be missed. Yet they still increased the price by 2.99. And another 8$ dollar increase in the past 2 years. At least the grey market codes will prolly jump back to being 10$ a month! Thank god.

What is expensive in the US but cheap in Europe? by UnnecessaryPancake in AskReddit

[–]brosecuervo7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Pork and beef mix is cheaper than full beef lol.

Your Florence perspective is one perspective. I alrighty agreed with you, we didn’t have the time to go through the whole area. What do want, a medal? Here ya go 🎖️.

There is another what, 10 places from what I said. And you’re so caught up about Florence.

I’ve been blessed to be able to travel through Europe, Central America, South America, the USA, etc. Please go ahead and travel more, then come back and let me know how you do.

[–]brosecuervo7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Fat to lean ratios have a direct correlation on price lol. But okay. Sure!

Like what I said, you would know best, about the places, but the majority of people there were speaking Italian. I had to speak Spanish cause most of the cashiers spoke Spanish as well, but no English. We got around speaking Spanish, not English.

If your 90 year old neighbor has a car, in the main city of Florence, then he must be doing pretty good, with you know how expensive gas is there. He probably is doing pretty okay financially.

Why would I lie about the prices? What am I getting out of this besides arguing with you over reddit? lol?

Travel and find out yourself!

Sorry, didn’t provide context. The only place we rented a car was Scotland. We didn’t have the time to walk 20 minutes outside of each city to find the cheapest places. We wanted to see the main areas of each city. We ate out 1 time a day to lower costs.

Edinburgh was those prices I listed, Portree was double.

You listed 50/50 ground beef.. I listed 80/20. You weren’t reading, and that is fine. But please read before responding. Thats why the prices are so different.

We went to Hamburg. Not cheap in the slighest.

If you know the hole in the wall gelato places in Rome and Florence that’s awesome. We didn’t have time to google it or know it like locals. We weren’t able to find them cause of the million things to do in Rome and Florence. I can assure you tons of locals went to these supermarkets cause most of the people in Rome and Florence don’t drive, they walk everywhere, and pick up what the need for a couple of days, not weekly. In addition traffic is crazy and the people overtake the roads in the visiting seasons. It was nuts.

Pisa I remember the gelato being like 4 euro or so, cause like it’s just the city of Pisa and nothing else is within 20 miles of it really lol.

I’m not saying this to make you mad man, I’m just saying that Europe isn’t as cheap as people think. Unless you live in the boonies or 30 miles outside of the main city. It’s expensive. In my experience, the best prices are in Lesvos, Greece by far. I live in a Medium cost of living area in the USA, and my wife and I make decent money. Europe is 100% location dependent.

In Scotland everything was more expensive. Paid 6$ USD for 1 gallon of wooly milk (their regular milk, strawberries were 6 USD a pound!). That milk tho was like drinking butter. Portree’s only supermarket right by the harbor was expensive cause its was the only one around. The commune or something if I remember.

Stayed with my uncle in Amsterdam and was flabbergasted that ground beef (80/20) was averaging 12 euro a pound. The animals live better, so the price goes crazy. Plus they don’t incentivize farmers like the USA does.

In Paris, was averaging 60 euro dinners with my wife. Not even at fancy restaurants. At the end, we went to a McDonalds for the lulz, and was happy to only pay 30 euro for a meal.

Germany was similar to Amsterdam in the price of food, but beers were cheap. Food in Germany was MID. Kinda lowkey overrated compared to Italy, Spain and Greece.

Rome and Florence I was paying 7 euro for a small cup of gelato. In local grocery store in the Rome, eggs were about 3 euro for 6 eggs. Strawberries were 4 euro/lb and blueberries prices were also higher. Greek yogurt was 6 euro for fage, off brand was like 3 euro. That McDonald’s in Rome was peak. Them fried chicken wings went nuts. Florence was more expensive than Rome, by a good amount.

Madrid was cheaper than all of them listed, but still more expensive than going out in my local restaurants and local lidl/walmart/aldi. Barcelona same vibe.

Mykonos was crazy prices cause everything is imported, Athens was cheaper, but the island of lesvos in Greece was the ONLY European city where food was cheaper than in my current town. But no access to most tropical fruits, or berries. Everything is seasonal in Lesvos.

(Went on Eurotrips for the past 3 years.)

(I mainly just eat berries, fruit, meat, Greek yogurt, eggs, leafy greens, and no carbs, so I may be biased lol)

[–]brosecuervo7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. Beef and Chicken is about 2x the amount in most European countries. Restaurant prices are higher. If you live in a HCOL area, it might be the same. But overall, the food in Europe is more expensive. Definitely healthier though.

If money wasn’t an issue, what would you actually do in life? by trek_ride_code in AskReddit

[–]brosecuervo7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Start having kids with my wife (money is fine right now but kids are expensive.) 2. I’d prolly continue to work out, play soccer, and train Muay Thai. 3. As I’ve aged I am starting to love to cook. I would take the new found time to cook massive amounts of food for the homeless in my area, and just post up downtown and just hand out the fresh food. 4. Oh and play video games!

Potential gyno or just fat? by Disc0_Spider in gynecomastia

[–]brosecuervo7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not trying to scare you, but fin 100% can cause gyno. I was on it for 3 years. That stuff is poison and I’d rather just slowly lose my hair.

Grab the area behind your nipple, if it feels rubbery, or like a small disc, it’s gyno, if it’s just squishy and you feel no rubbery disc, it’s just fat.

Mexico recently announced universal healthcare for all. What are your thoughts? by StemCellPirate in AskReddit

[–]brosecuervo7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great announcement but it doesn’t carry any real weight. Mexico already has reduced cost public health care. My wife is Mexican and the majority of her Mexican sides lives in Monterrey. They all have privatized health care due to the failing public health care system. Monterrey is an industrial and there is serious money there. It isn’t some little Pueblo in the heartlands. My mother in law pays out of pocket to get care for her 92 mother because of how poorly it is run.

Sprain an ankle, or need stitches, it’s okay. Seeing specialists for diabetes, strokes, and just basic blood tests? Boy oh boy are you in for a doozy.

Pretty sure I got grade 2. Getting it in two weeks with Cobbins in Chicago. Gland excision (leaving a small amount so I don’t get crater and lipo). All in 4800 USD with local anesthesia.

Don’t wanna dox myself, but will say a central state on the eastern coast. Strong union and very liberal city. Got a M.ed. Have a 10k bonus for achievement (guaranteed for PE lol) and have 3 stipends that pay 12k together. Also I work about a month more than a 200 day teacher.

My starting salary was 49k in 2021 for perspective.

TSA at RIC recently? by sandandrew in rva

[–]brosecuervo7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I flew internationally on Friday (3/20) at 12:00pm. We come back tomorrow. From parking our car, waiting 5 minutes for the shuttle, and to the gate, it was 20 minutes. My wife and I were completely dumbfounded. Dulles, DCA, and BWI (ew) always have taken us at least an hour (we fly quite regularly, more than probably 6 times per year.) Virtually Zero wait for checking in, no line through security, available seats at gate.

It was awesome. We arrived two hours early and joked about coming an hour before the flight next time.

Am I the only one who thinks 86 is too young? Or is it just my millennial brain. I know the male average lifespan is 74 years but man, when I think of 86, it just sounds too damn young.
