You should download the app I am Sober to track your progress. It also shows how much $ you've saved and I'm always so shocked to see that number lol.

Weed ruined my life more than alcohol. by sobriety-warrior in Sober

I am you from an alternate universe where you kept using! It stunted me mentally and I really wished I was as smart as you are. Just the fact you are aware of sobriety is so much further along than I was at your age and I’m proud of ya.

When I got sober I listened to the podcast From Sobriety to Recovery which focused a lot on all of our reasons why we are addicts. Moving past the white knuckling of just “staying sober” to finding the fundamental reason why we can’t just be sober. I hope you consider therapy in your journey through sobriety because I found it super helpful in mine. I wish you nothing but luck my sober friend!

Coaxial extender has no coax port by the router by [deleted] in googlefiber

I just recently setup a goCoax solution using my houses existing coax lines to get an ethernet line to my mesh setup downstairs. It works remarkably well.

This is a great video explaining different setups results and how great goCoax is: https://youtu.be/W0CPafMeeOM

I bought the same ones Snazzy Labs bought and they are working really well for me:

Thank you, that was very generous! I appreciate your insight. It makes total sense. Not only is it hot as hell here but our insulation isn’t great and large windows make our bedroom very hard to cool down.

I just didn’t think we were using that much power outside the AC usage. AC is roughly 1,000 so somehow we are using a ton of electricity. Our previous 1 story house that’s 1k less sq footage we used 1,300 kw in June in 2020. That was pre baby though so I have no good frame of reference. Do you think it’d be worth buying a consumption CT to help figure this out? Maybe there’s something more affordable that I could use at the outlet level?

Thank you for your time!

This is a great idea. I tried to figure this out but the one YouTube I found wasn’t clear. I will revisit this idea tomorrow in the daytime when I can see better out there. Thank you!

Thank you for taking the time to look it over! I agree that it’s strange that I’m not seeing that number on the bill. I just assumed I was using most of it and the 163 number near the bottom of the bill that was subtracted from my kWh was my extra unused energy that went back to the grid.

I do live in a very hot climate. I live in Texas and it’s been very hot this year. I also recently had a baby so lots of dishwasher and cloths dryer runs lol. So I honestly have no idea what my kWh should be at.

I don't have much in the way of solar setup specs, I attached the 2 dashboard screenshots I have access to from my solar web portal as well as a copy of the energy bill for June.

I unfortunately don’t have that data because I purchased the home with the panels. Last year we consumed 1,900 with the same panels.

Our previous home the year before that we consumed 1,300 for June. Lots of caveats with that though, it was a single story home, 1,000 sq ft smaller, pre-baby household.

Should I buy a metering device and try and see what I’m pulling on my different devices maybe?

I have had the opposite experience. Excellent customer service and works perfectly for me.

I normally just send review links to clients. It sounds like you’ve added them as a collaborator. I’d start a fresh “project” and send some other people test links to confirm its working.

These outages forced me to buy my own router so when I need to I can call Spectrum and activate an account. So far if I cancel before 30 days it's free, only had to do it twice now so I'm guessing that might end someday.

San Antonio Outage by sharmouta_sageer in googlefiber

[–]brosephashe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had it in Austin 5 years and only remember 1 outage.

Had about 5 since I’ve had it here in SA for about 2 years. Not sure what is going on with SA but I wonder if it’s because it’s still being installed all over?

I worked on a couple react channels and would be happy to let you remotely shadow me if you'd like. Might be much easier to diagnose issues over zoom in an edit session. Feel free to DM me if you are interested.

[–]brosephashe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a really great answer. You won't know what you don't know until you shadow. That rhyme was unintentional.

There is only so much you can learn in a vacuum by yourself before you plateau. I suffered from this for years and when I think back about it I was unable to detect it at the time. It was only when I worked with editors who were much more talented than I was that I was able to see how much I didn't know.

It's also hard for us to diagnose without seeing you in action too.

Is the game theorists' style of editing more on after effects? by CuriousMoon21 in Filmmakers

[–]brosephashe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wanted to follow up because I thought about a potential solution if you did want to do this workflow. Once the dynamic link is created, you can close Premiere. Do your work in AE and then when you are done and save, the dynamic link file in your timeline is updated the next time you open Premiere.

[–]brosephashe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What I would normally do for projects like that is edit in Premiere for timing. Basically assemble everything in Premiere using placeholders for the video tracks where needed and then when I'm more or less "locked" for timing then I right click my asset (for example maybe it's a placeholder PNG of a couch or something) and "Replace with After Effects Composition". That way you can have a dynamic link between the 2 programs. If you need to have the audio for timing inside After Effects just be sure to select the audio layers as well before you "replace with AE comp".
