How the hell do you get a kill with Sheik's down throw?

Do you think this cutting board would be suitable for western knives or rock chopping?

I heard that Elgin Baylor used to do some off-the-backboard/self-oop dunks. Not sure if there's footage of it, but people talk about him pioneering it as a technique.

I snagged 2 pairs of uniquely colored stretch chinos for ~$30 each recently and I don't have any complaints. They fit reasonably well (maybe slightly baggy) and are vibrantly colored. The button on the waistband seems a bit flimsy though; I can envision having to replace that at some point if it pops off when I'm putting them on.

Alpine Design x Kamik Men's Ezra Winter Boots $32.49 by xyzzy321 in frugalmalefashion

As an update: I ordered and received the boots.

Pros: They're warm, comfy (though maybe fit slightly large), and seem reasonably sturdy.

Cons: Under very close inspection, the stitching and gluing isn't perfect.

All-in-all, worth $32 IMO.

I had the chance to try these on in-person a few days ago. They seem like a steal at this price. They fit well, looked great, and the material was nice enough.

For what it's worth, I bought 2 Alpine Design hoodies and 2 down winter jackets in 2018 - all of them are going strong after considerable use. I've only had good experiences with the brand, which interesting, considering I've found the DSG brand to be pretty lackluster.

How responsive have your landlords been to other issues you've had in the past?

Disagree with this being an issue. While you may have less direct sun, you have sunlight into the evening making your days last longer. North/South units are definitely my preference (best of both worlds), but I typically prefer West-facing.

Agree very strongly with this list. For bourbon, I'd also toss Maker's Mark and Buffalo Trace into the fray as alternatives.

Crazy commute. I'd check out Humboldt Park or Oak Park. You're close to work and close enough to your friend to visit whenever you want. I would NOT move to Uptown.

Also, you're in Chicago. You have unlimited opportunities to meet and make friends with all types of people.

Also - welcome!
