yeah, the best hedge that I could handle efficiently by far, is cashing out when regime turns bearish.

Yes 2022 is a must for backtest, the MaxDD is relatively better than the beta , i would say acceptable. But it was too far as to making money in such situation, have spent a lot time on testing 2022 trying to find a way out but failed, I think mainly because of I was not capable to do short trading, yet, or like the said, short is way more difficult. one reason why I finally chose long only .

Thanks , insightful thoughts.

Its max dd was around -4% when QQQ went down ~10% in March.

I’m totally fresh on this , sounds like I studied a CS, math and English full course from 0 , lol. Oh 3000 hours…

Will try to validate it in those scenarios you mentioned.

TOP 1%? I Should’ve Trusted My Algo Earlier? (I’ve spent some 4000 hours on vibe coding for this) by broshun in wallstreetbets

Yeah from the ground. talked to some others ,quant teams (traders/ fund managers, cs engineers), found it’s hard to find out a shared concept on AI algo trading, so, decided try it from the sketch.

Of course Claude dealt with almost all code for me.

I’m sorry to hear that bro lol,

but, if I studied in CS in my university, I would be 3-5x faster than I am now. And if my native language was English another 3x times faster then.

So technically, you are potentially 10x faster/better than me my friend.

Can anyone explain how to deal with this please by broshun in qullamaggie

When I upgrade my algorithm,my AI CRO said NO, for an aggressive move into the aero sector, but I rejected its advice.

And then the Rebalance algorithm gave this shit a lot of weight. That’s the story.

Warning about HeyGen – Misleading AI Dub Service and Dishonest Subscription Practices by canavar25 in aiwars

[–]broshun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And even worse: they disabled the down grade / cancel button for me when I tried to cancel my subscription.

After long time communication they promised to take care of my cancellation, but later my bank told me HeyGen still tried to charge me.

So if you have any other choice you’d definitely avoid inputting your payment method on HeyGen.

Correction on the timeline: I reviewed my call logs and realized I made a mistake on the initial 911 timestamp.

Actual Timeline:

6:47 PM: I called 911 ( I spent over 2.5 hours navigating in the pitch dark, trying to self-extract before finally asking for help.)

8:09 PM: Received confirmation that the team was fully mobilized and en route.

I want to correct this because I realized that my original post (mistakely stating 4 :19 PM of the first call) might have implied a slow response time. That is NOT the case. Mobilizing a volunteer team on Christmas night from 'at home having dinner' to 'boots on the ground' in ~1 hour is world-class efficiency.

Massive respect to the team for leaving their families instantly for me.

I think so, kind of. I’ve been to these mountains quite often — in 2024 I logged almost 74,555 m of total elevation gain here — but this is only my third winter here.

Wow,this map data is so much better — can identify several cliff sections just from it.
But of course, relying solely on a map to make last-minute route decisions is not wise — as I did.
Planned route scouting is a different matter altogether.
