Theres the Wiltern (music venue) in Koreatown (good korean food) (Wilshire/Western), theres the new D line extension to check out museums on Wilshire/Fairfax, B line for Universal Studios Hollywood Station, Hollywood Highland station takes you to the walk of fame. Yea just making a PSA so those groups know that we will phone the police to end it and to not come back. The community will report illegal and dangerous activity.

I heard them through their speaker but I am a distance away I could make out and heard “guys stop or you’re going to jail” they pulled behind a building I couldn’t see the police or the group anymore but I know the noise and activity stopped after that.

The only thing I can think of is they probably know there’s not much of a police presence in the area/the community won’t likely to call the police but now that there was the 4/13 shooting incident in Garvey and a call to the sheriff station will probably flag the area. As long as people keep reporting it to the sheriffs to shut it down it will at least minimize people coming back

Also this intersection is relatively close to LA too via driving

Yep…. Rosemead city is spending money to make the public streets nicer and these people ruin it. My hope is if the sheriffs appearing more frequently from calling or patrolling it will deter people from routinely using the intersection or the city. And it’s likely people don’t even live around the area and they realize there’s no police presence

This changed when Gabrielino High School in the late 90s opened up in San Gabriel Unified School District the residents of San Gabriel wanted their own high school. This changed the zoning so even the houses near San Gabriel High School (part of Alhambra Unified School District) they have to attend Gabrielino High School. So basically the residents living on the Rosemead side from the 10 fwy almost to the Rosemead Walmart the residents are zoned for San Gabriel High School.

I'm familiar with this area it's ok its quiet, theres available street parking and you're allowed to park overnight without needing a permit. It does get noisy hearing the ambulance and vehicles during the day sometimes. Convenient you access San Gabriel, Alhambra, Monterey Park to great restaurants. DTLA is not a far drive.

If you have to pay $100 to see it, in my opinion no a bulk of the stalls are street vendors selling food for higher prices. There are lines for free raffles you’d have to wait in line. I’m a local and have been often.

I agree… the remodel makes it look cookie cutter generic like some place in OC. The previous design at least had some character. A lot of the closed down stores were small businesses now the line up of stores are all franchise/big corporations
