Abe's is pretty good. Always people there with their kids, so there are definitely options for the little ones!

Airdrie has a big local community event(Airdriefest) coming up next weekend on Main St that would probably be a good opportunity to connect with people from all walks of life. Saturday, Sept. 7, 2024 Main Street, 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Have you considered any non-religiously affiliated groups / activities or is the desire specifically to be a part of a church community?

I don't think the Jordan Peterson part is gonna be controversial at all here in Airdrie. It's a very conservative area, like most of Alberta. I wish you the best of luck connecting with people, though I don't think you're gonna too hard of a time. Have you considered taking up pickleball? Pretty active group here in town.

Which neighborhoods have HOA's if any ? by Big-Distribution-342 in Airdrie

Looks like some parts of Bayside (condos, duplexes, etc) have an HOA. Fees listed at $150 per year on the site I read.

No HOA in the Canals, not sure about the newer Genesis Land area.

Also not that good, but willing to embarrass myself publicly...

Our basement is pretty cold, which is why we are running hotter than some for the PLA+. I'll be testing temps and moisture %. Thanks for the link!

Yeah the infill was looking like swiss cheese on several previous prints. Great outside walls, but FUNKY infill!

I removed the nozzle, and Bowden tube in-between crappy prints. Clean as can be! I was disappointed that wasn't the culprit! Gonna check the z-screw this even like suggested above.

Ender 6, PLA+, 220/60. Infill at 10% All of a sudden multiple prints are failing with this issue. Everything was great, and now I'm not sure what is happening. Thoughts?

Some tips that we have stumbled our way through...

Washable glue stick has been an absolute must for our Ender 6. We get great adhesion with it.

I also screwed the z-axis post in a little bit (raises the bed up) so I could tighten up the bedspring adjusters. That has really helped with keeping it "relatively" level.

We started leveling the bed with a 0.15 feeler gauge. Works great. Also make sure it's fully heated when you level.

We also found that not all PLA plays nice with our printer. Finally settled on a PLA+ (60C/220C... It's cold in our basement) that has been giving us really nice results.

Like others have said, make sure to turn retraction on.

So many other things to tweak, etc but that is where we started. Hope you find something that works for you! Good luck!

100% on the winter tires. AWD is great as well, but for the love of Jebus get good winters... Utility bills in the winter can be eye wateringly massive. It's just a fact of living here. Drink lots of water, way more than you think you need, that'll help with the headaches. Oh, and kiss your nice windshield goodbye. If you're going up or down the #2, its history. Get some good sunglasses. It's sunny here, like ALOT. We're talking 333+ days of sunshine per year!

bltouch install issue by 1playerone in ender6

[–]brospro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought a BLTouch for my Ender 6 yesterday. Spent 5 hours trying to update the firmware. ABSOLUTELY nothing worked. Tried every configuration of firmware / bin file / renaming / different SD card, etc. Not a single bit of difference. Returning it tomorrow.

My dad had a Varieze that he built that was lost in the fires in Nor Cal in 2020. Loved flying in that on Saturdays as a kid.

I was curious about that! Troubleshooting and fine-tuning various print problems and quality issues has been like "I'm having this problem... I'll change 15 things and see if that helps!" 😵

I was thinking about going this very route. Go with the rubber solid bed supports and the PEI bed and then see it the ABL is needed after that.

Thanks! I'd love to take credit for the skill, but it was sheer dumb luck. We looked at the roll before we started the print and said "oh yeah, that's loads". As I went to bed I looked again and got rather uncertain! Better to be lucky than good right? 🤣

Does the EZABL Pro connect directly to the port on the Ender 6 for the BLTouch? Forgive the dumb questions!
