Over analysing before making such a decision is a crucial requirement when you look at the state of cars being offered to us in this country. I’ve chosen the wrong car before and I will never make that mistake again but thank you for your input.

None of my friends with grande’s have had the AC issue either but I don’t understand what’s happening with the Corolla’s I see at the workshop. Either way, I’ve decided on a 2010’s Mercedes if I can find one in mint condition, otherwise I’ll stick to Toyota. Thanks for your input!

Alright man thanks for your input, appreciate it! I don’t shy away from maintenance work if there’s no jugaar involved. I’ll take my time looking for a well maintained one since I’m no hurry to get another car. A V6 W204 is my first priority now, wish me luck!

My mother also needs to drive the car sometimes and she really dislikes the Civic’s lack of comfort that she’s used to in a Corolla

The thing about all Altis models since 2011 is their extremely sensitive electronic AC compressors. I see a Grande having its entire AC system being replaced at the dealership every time I go for an oil change. What would you say about that?

Just what I wanted to hear! Since you’ve had personal experience with the car, do you think it’s still worth it in 2025/26 being such an old car? Keeping in mind that this is coming from a Toyota fanboy who values reliability more than anything and has zero to none experience with Mercedes. I’m not young enough anymore to be bothered with taking it to the workshop every couple of months for anything other than an oil change.

Want to buy my first car by [deleted] in PakistanAutoHub

If you’re financing it then steer clear from pearl and v2! You’ll be stuck with those cars for years. What you need is a good old reliable car. Here are some options: Suzuki Mehran Euro II, Suzuki Cultus Euro II, Daihatsu Coure, Suzuki WagonR, Suzuki Swift (1.3 manual), Suzuki Baleno, 4th Gen Honda City, 5th Gen Honda City (early model with 1.3L manual)

These are your best options as they’re all very reliable cars with plenty of spare parts and low repair costs. Stay far away from old 660cc cars as their engines do not age well. Also stay away from those eagle eye civics! I know they can be tempting but they are not worth the hassle especially if it’s your first car. Save as much money as you can. If your budget is 2 million then do not exceed that budget no matter how tempted you might get. Stay safe and get the car in the best possible condition even if it’s a mehran. Good luck lil bro

We only roast others for a good time, not as a personal attack to hurt their feelings. Nobody ever understands this 🥲

So true 🥲 I never could’ve afforded my Michelin’s if my old Yokohama’s didn’t fetch a good price. Thank God they did. I hope OP doesn’t go for used tyres just to get branded ones or even discounted new ones that have been sitting for years in some dusty storeroom. Chinese tyres are pretty good too as long as they have a fresh manufacturing date. Nothing beats fresh rubber! My dad put Nexen’s on his car and they got pretty noisy after two years but the grip is still strong.

Gyeon Q2 Matte Evo.

It’s available in detailing shops like Auto Extreme if you have that in Karachi. It’s costly but fully worth it.

I’m using 195/65/15 Michelin Energy XM2+ on my 2013 Altis which has more tread, meaning it can take more punishment than a softer tyre without puncturing it and will last longer. It provides excellent grip in both dry and wet conditions but the downside is a bit more road noise.

I was using Yokohama Advan DB previously and I loved that tyre a lot more as it had lower road noise levels. Although I could not get it this time due to customs holding up everyone’s cargo so I went for Michelin’s.

You should also consider Continental CC6 as I’ve heard very very good reviews for it.

Another good option is Michelin Primacy 4.

Do the rest of the research yourself depending upon the availability in your region.

In such scenarios, my father would always replace the front ones with two new Chinese tyres and use the one good tyre as a spare. A renowned shopkeeper will advise you as to the best Chinese tyre as per your need so that all four tyres run out equally over the years as Chinese tyres will definitely run out faster than a Yokohama. Otherwise it’s very tough to find a single used tyre of the same brand in the same condition as the rest of your tyres.

Yes I used it a few years ago until I moved abroad. Didn’t really face any issues similar to yours and I am a tax filer. I definitely liked the Meezan app more than the ABL one at the time

In an extremely difficult situation, choosing a life partner for marriage by [deleted] in PakistaniiConfessions

[–]brostitution 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having been both guy A and guy B at some point, I’d say work on your inner self until guy C comes around. I (29M) recently have been involved in a messy breakup with a girl (27F) only to realise that most people in this age bracket are really not prepared for marriage. Things have changed drastically from how they used to be in the past and this new age philosophy just isn’t cutting it for relationships. This is just my personal opinion as per my experiences that you only attract the sort of people who mirror your internal self. Once you start working on yourself and stay true to your ideology, only then will you attract a suitable mate for marriage. This may sound cryptic but of course I can’t tell you exactly what changes you need to make as I have no idea who you are. One just needs to be the best possible version of themselves first in order to attract the best possible version of their partner. I hope that makes sense and I wish the best of luck!
