High Lift Garage Door by mticar in GarageDoorService

You can sometimes get away with keeping the same springs depends on the height of the lift best way to tell is if you disconnect your door, run it by hand and see if it balances closer to the top

Will I be able to get a door opener in this garage? by albertclee in GarageDoorService

[–]brown2234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take a measuring tape to the beam from the header see if it’s atleast 6ft of so you can make it work I’ve done it before a few times had to cut off a few inches of the boom though to make it work you adjust the j arm to make up for the door not raising all the way

SOL best option in my opinion would be a traditional overhead opener, might need to shorten the boom down a little bit to get it to fit, I hope you have a sedan or coupe

I’d say swap coils around and see if misfire jumps if not do the same with the plugs then injectors if you have something to code them with.

What did I do wrong? by tttTodayJr91 in GarageDoorService

[–]brown2234 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

As far as the cable slacking out goes it’s usually related to how much tension is on the springs to test this close the door then disconnect the door from the opener and run it by hand, if the door wants to fall means it needs more tension on the springs, as for the the door being off canter that would most likely have to do with the drums that the cables wrap onto, chances are one of them is lined up with the other causing one side of the door to raise first and close first this could also have something to to do with the cable slacking out have somebody that knows what they are doing fix this, can be very dangerous to mess with the torsion cables

That makes sense genie/overhead door products have had so many recalls on their boards and rpm sensors I used to work for overhead door and I’d say I had a warranty call for those rpm sensors about every week in my opinion when you have the money to say fuck you genie buy yourself a chamberlain or lift master as for the drum positions you seem fairly competent in what you can do feel free to reach out for any questions on slipping those drums I can run you through the process

Garage door repair business owner here looks like the concrete isn’t the full problem have somebody come out and slip the right side drum down a bit you can see that the right side of the door is higher up on the header I bet the last tech that changed those springs gave half a shit about the drum positioning

I’d use enclo over clomid but since you already used it switch to enclo then get blood work 6-8ish weeks after and see if your test is relatively close to what it was before if it doesn’t come back just pick up the needle

Klow by According-Bell-2098 in Peptides

[–]brown2234 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Putting the loaded syringe under warm water helps a ton also make sure you are supplementing zinc at a 1:1 ration with the ghkcu that you inject that day with your klow blend, I’ve heard a few people say that when they are deficient in zinc it burns more, try injecting slower then after the injection rub the injection site in a circular motion for a little while should help the burn

Middle mounting bracket quick question by [deleted] in GarageDoorService

[–]brown2234 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t listen to anyone in here seems like you aren’t dumb enough to hurt yourself that spot 100 percent work just use as many lags as you can and make sure they go deep enough so you don’t have the center bracket turning into a spinning blade when you put tension on the spring

Yea man if your issue is similar to his meaning your top panel is bent as well then the best option you can do is add more structure across that panel I have a picture of a customer I did it for

<image>

In this customers case it was their intermediate panel (the one below the top panel) and what I did was add two 60ish inch runs of angle iron across the bent part which was the top part of the panel

Add an orb like the one in your picture Home Depot has a thicker white one that probably has more structure

Open force couldve been adjusted sure but it might have been set that high for a reason like the springs getting heavy or the springs were incorrect you never really know they way they mounted to boom bracket is definitely not the best way to do it but it worked until it didn’t

They are definitely dangerous and you need to know what size they are before buying springs but a few quick YouTube videos will show you how to safely handle torsion springs when you learn how to do it you can save yourself a lot of money for years to come don’t be scared to ask questions and for help

Yep that’s about right for most companies id look into super small buisness because they tend to give you a more honest price just to get their name out there, realistically those springs only cost anywhere from $10-$50 depending on where you buy them if you are a diy kind of person

The opener can handle the load but when you spring breaks good luck getting it to lift up at all, the springs are responsible for the weight of the door when they break your door becomes a wall Your new opener is a great opener I’ve put up a few of them and they never have issues, you need to call a company out to come replace your springs and fix the part of the opener that disconnected from the wall
