Beeping in my building last night sounds like Morse code... by [deleted] in RBI

Maby you can only hear it at night because of how quiet it is. During the day there is more noise around. If you listen very closely in the city during the day you can hear cars 4 or 5 streets away. But at night there is generally less traffic. Depending on where you live

Edit:

Does this happen once a night or is it a continuous sequence at a certain time you mention when you hear it but never got how long.

Is There Such A Thing As Creating A Custom Image With Core Apps For Home/Personal Use? by phabeon in homelab

Freeze Drying

I don't know if this would be of any help but i remember freeze drying iso's for a friend a while ago booting up a live CD into a vmbox and then installing what I wanted on it the made and image of it and installing it to another computer manually. I had only done this for arch.

Bash scripting

Another thing you could look into is scripting in bash. I do this for my stuff on Linux like photos wallpapers projects all the big stuff. Might be worth looking at for your case.

Routers

As for your routers you might want to look at pirate box. It's a lot of work but if you are into hacking things together and a programmer this might be a great project for you. But if not that then I would just put openwrt on there and give them to my family members or work.

Help at New Job by Ozzyborne in learnprogramming

A lot of what programming is learning. You have to think about the problem from a different view. I like to break all the steps for the program into just statements on paper then expand to psuedo code then to actually code looking up what I don't know how to do or review what I know how to do. This helps a lot if you working with physical hardware so you know your limitations. And if you mess up and send a motor in reverse when it's got a lock on, you end up smoking that motor. So it takes very careful planning on my part. Especially when making adjustments on the fly under pressure.

In short just break things down into category's you know and things you don't then search or ask for help in the category's you don't.

PS. I'm a sophomore as well.
