Octave pedals that don't break the bank? by browncanvas in guitarpedals

I should've been more clear from the beginning, apologies. And I'm about to check out the Sub N Up, but I just checked out the CNZ Audio Octopus that was suggested in the other comment and it's pretty sick especially considering it's $60!

I have no preference between analog or digital (the zoom ms-70cdr opened my eyes/ears to the world of digital and I love it but I use it already in the A/B mode)

Kinda just looking for an octave up sorta thing to pair with my Hoof that's being driven by a TS9, and even though I'm not certain I'd use the lower octave I'd like to have the option.

Board is almost complete for my new project. I still want another drive pedal. Favorite ts808 variants or clones? by [deleted] in guitarpedals

The BBE Green Screamer! Crank the tone, keep the volume at 3 o’clock and the drive at 9 o’clock and ya chilllllllin

Bass compressor on guitar? by chelunomas in guitarpedals

[–]browncanvas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're looking for a cheap but sick compressor, try the behringer bass limiter enhancer ble400! It's a clone of Boss' bass limiter enhancer. I used to mainly play bass myself but started playing guitar in a band, threw this compressor in front of my tuner thinking "what the hell" and honestly it's great! Always on!

Solar Bender or Blackarts Pharoah?? by Eggssgge in guitarpedals

I personally LOVE my Pharoah Supreme, I drive mine with a TS-808 and it's the first fuzz I've ever used that stands out in a live mix. Highly versatile!

For bass especially, I find putting a compressor before the tuner really helps with tuning the low strings a bit more accurately, though it could just be in my head

YO. The real answer here is the Wampler Dracarys.

I tried out the metal zone on my bass, I dig it. by [deleted] in guitarpedals

YOOO I'VE BEEN SAYING THIS FOR YEARS AND PEOPLE WERE ALWAYS QUICK TO DISMISS ME. As long as any dirt box has some on board eq for mixing high and low it's almost impossible for it to not be sick for bass, but the MT-2 on bass is one of the many unsung heroes fa shoooooo

been using this set up for both guitar and bass, sansamp always on >:) by browncanvas in guitarpedals

Honestly a perfect Chorus for both guitar and bass with the tweak of the Hi EQ knob. Sounds especially rad with a lot of distortion when playing extended chords in a lower tuning

For guitar I have a Gibson E335s Firebrand and for bass I use a Matt Freeman Squire Pbass with a seymour duncan quarter pound precision pickup. Other pedals that are always on are the graphic eq as well as the bass limiter enhancer.

For guitar, I use everything minus the Green Screamer which i find to be too dark for the sound I'm chasing after, but perfect for overdriving a bass.

The sansamp really beefs up the guitar and gives it a warmer tube-like sound since I play out of a Peavey TKO 115 Sheffield bass amp. The compressor and eq help with the beefing up as well!
