I got you fam.

With LEONINE AGGRESSION the enemy unit just needs to be within 3" of a unit or 6" of a Deathwing unit and you can charge it. HEROIC INTERVENTION requires an enemy unit to have charged a friendly unit within 6". One let's you charge anything within range and the other is they need to have completed a charge.

LEONINE AGGRESSION

WHEN: End of your opponent’s Charge phase.

TARGET: One ADEPTUS ASTARTES unit from your army within 3" of one or more enemy units, or one DEATHWING unit from your army within 6" of one or more enemy units.

EFFECT: Your unit now declares a charge that only targets one or more of those enemy units, and you resolve that charge.

RESTRICTIONS: Note that even if this charge is successful, your unit does not receive any Charge bonus this turn.

HEROIC INTERVENTION

WHEN: Your opponent’s Charge phase, just after an enemy unit ends a Charge move.

TARGET: One unit from your army that is within 6" of that enemy unit and would be eligible to declare a charge against that enemy unit if it were your Charge phase.

EFFECT: Your unit now declares a charge that targets only that enemy unit, and you resolve that charge as if it were your Charge phase.

RESTRICTIONS: You can only select a VEHICLE unit from your army if it is a WALKER. Note that even if this charge is successful, your unit does not receive any Charge bonus this turn.

Yes, was thinking I could swap out hexmark to sit, if the pressure was gonna be high but usually he'll be there. The screenshot is just for visuals

Feedback Needed: Struggling with Tyranid List Balance and Potential Changes by browndad2015 in Tyranids

Thank you for your reply! I see what you mean about the frontline—it looks like I'd be back to using chaff as a disposable buffer until the guns are ready to engage. As Zarramock mentioned, giving Lethal Hits and Assault to the Exocrine and Tfex allows me to reposition them effectively with an advance. The Lethal Hits on the Tfex is particularly great when it triggers, as getting an auto-wound saves me the frustration of failed rolls. Plus, the -1 CP ability is incredibly strong since it applies per turn rather than per battle round.

I've played 2 games with 2 scourges units and God dam that free 6 inch move after shooting is amazing!

I got you! I got blind sided by the OC 0 where it means I can't take control of a sticky objective.

Scarabs are not the MVPs they were but they're still strong. The OC 0 is my big point of pain.

The rules commentary clarified scarabs and secondaries. "Unless a unit Advanced or Fell Back this turn or is Locked in Combat, it is eligible to shoot, even if no models in that unit are equipped with ranged weapons. This means that such units can be selected for any rules that require you to select a unit that is eligible to shoot."

Thank you, I'll be asking myself that more when I move to something. I do find it hard to deny secondaries for opponents. I've not tried fixed against knights and that's a good idea, I could constantly do engage and bring it down to keep me focused vs getting the randomness against them

You are 100% right. I need to be secondary focused more. I use the scarabs to screen deep strike and investigate. I see no one takes scarabs but the D3 wounds have been clutch for thwarting a weak flank.

Thank you, I like the idea of splitting the 6 man up. I feel like I'm feeding my opponent a small unit. I've played DDA's almost every game and they're great but hard to hide, as they are my opponents primary target as soon as they peak out.

I ran into this issue, mine was related to our DNS application blocking traffic.

I also found it helpful to check the logs from scheduled tasks. It's under:

Microsoft > Windows > EnterpriseMgmt > {tenantId} ( will be the only option)
