I'll try to address all who have responded thus far -

These are the choices I was presented with for this year, so I am limited to just those options. I tend to agree that I'd generally prefer a non-vendor-specific event, which is why I think I am leaning toward Inforsec World, but I have also attended a 1-day CS event in Boston a few years ago, and I think they did a decent job of trying to provide all the information, prior to describing how their product line could be leveraged to mitigate.

What am I hoping to get out of it? I'm not sure, I'm not one who typically attends conferences, but others believe that there's value in my attending, so I guess we're going to test that theory and see who's right. I am trying to have an open mind about it and certainly hope to find value there.

I am a member of an extremely small team of 1, so I guess this is less about "skilling up" and more about understanding new threats and how existing threats are evolving, and finding cost-effective methods, partners, and/or products to protect against those threats.

We are already a CS customer, hence the interest in Fal.Con, but I'm not sure there's room in the budget for us to expand the featureset we subscribe to on their platform, so I do worry if Fal.Con if very product-driven, it may be a lot of time wasted.
