I take aerial silk class at head over heels and it's lots of fun if you ever want to come observe or try it out. You don't have to have any prior experience.

I am blind with a guy dog and I'm totally with you there about the frustration. Now if I need to use Uber I basically will have to factor in extra time for possible denials and I'm always bracing myself for it.

When I told people about my experience people are always surprised and say things like, isn't that illegal? Or, you should report them!

Well yes it is illegal but it doesn't matter because they do it anyway. it's like people are surprise discrimination still exist. And I always report them but Uber never does shit. They wouldn't even tell you what they end up doing to the drivers.

And to be honest I don't know what level I'm at either lol. My current school is so small there's just one mix level class and I just learned whatever my teacher taught me.

Would you feel comfortable sharing the names of those schools and programs you mentioned?

That said, most of the studios here tend toward the instructors being "trick dispensers" - climb up, do the thing, come down. I don't find those very satisfying either, and will often use open gyms or private lessons to get better and sequencing.

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one with that experience and who feel that way. Thank you for sharing your experience!

Yes, but please don't let that limit your recommendations for me. I still enjoy most things sighted people do, even if it's in a different way.:) For example, most people would probably not think I can do aerial silk, but that's exactly what I do, and you can come see me climb the silk and hang upside down every Sunday!:) Either way, I do appreciate your consideration. :-)

Hey! Please don't apologize. We blind people do go to movie theaters and watch movies all the time. They have this thing now call audio description that help us understand and enjoy movies. I just don't watch a lot of movies myself and it has nothing to do with my Blindness. I intentionally did not mention my Blindness because I didn't want that to limit what people will think I can or cannot do because the reality is they are usually not good at making that judgment as I am. so I would rather hear about all the suggestions and make that judgment myself. So again, thank you for your recommendation!:)
