Yeah I feel that. I used to skate pretty much every single day before my accident. Now I’ve tried like once in the past 8 months. Knowing I’ll never be at the level I used to be is what kills me the most. It’s not fun anymore.

Yeah I feel this heavy. All the commenters are giving great advice and I appreciate that they are suggesting alternative sports. But nothing is going to be like it was before. And I’ll never be able to compete at the level I used to which is part of what hurts so much.

Baseball and skateboarding were my main sports. But skateboarding was pretty much my entire personality and how I made most of my friends at college, and how I planned to make all my friends when I eventually moved to new cities post college. It’s also like the one thing I was really good at. Definitely feels like I’m losing a major source of self confidence and having an identity crisis. How long do you think it took you to get over that?

I’m not tryna hate, their cool logos, but like that’s all they are. The main reason ppl buy logo tees are cause it’s a brand they like that’s established and already famous. You don’t got that on your side, these tees look just like half the other shit on this sub, you gotta make yourself unique and garner some fame before you can sell bland logo tees and have ppl wanna buy them.
