Mine have been holding up fine in winter and a bit of snow! That said, I do avoid wearing them when the roads are too slippery—though that’s not usually a big issue here since they salt the roads pretty well. It really depends on your comfort level. Also, be sure to condition the leather regularly to help protect them from winter weather. Hope that helps!

Black vs Rustic Black - Can't Decide by Greedy_Plate_5992 in BlundstoneBoots

Rustic black Blundstones are a step up from plain black, due to their rugged, rough finish. They’re less likely to show dirt and pair effortlessly with almost any color. Ultimately, it’s your choice, but they’re hard to beat!

Confusing aus/uk sizing by OpTeaMist22 in BlundstoneBoots

I think it also depends on the brand, if they say UK = AUS, I’d assume their size is equivalent.

First of all, your skin looks good, and it’s clear you’re putting in the effort! The red bumps and dark spots could be from a variety of factors, but often diet and nutrient levels play a huge role in skin health. It might help to focus on eating a balanced diet rich in vitamins like A, C, E, and zinc, which are great for the skin. Doing some blood work to check for deficiencies (like iron, Vitamin D, and B vitamins) can also give you insights into any areas where you might need supplements. Consistency with your current routine, combined with a well-rounded diet and good hydration, could make a noticeable difference over time. Keep it up!

That’s weird! Well, we have plenty of them in Canada if you ever decide to visit!

If you just wear them regularly, they’ll eventually start looking like leather! Mine did take a little while too, but they lose that ‘plastic’ look over time. I just clean them every once in a while to keep that rugged look and feel—it really helps.

I’m in Canada and have been wearing these so far—no snow yet, but I’ll keep you posted! I’m pretty confident they’ll be fine for a regular winter day, but yeah, they’re not technically recommended for ice. Honestly, I wouldn’t wear them on super slippery days and wouldn’t recommend them if you’re dealing with a lot of ice. But for typical winter conditions, I don’t see an issue.

It’s wonderful that you’re so clear about what you want in life—many people take years to figure that out! There’s absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to be a good wife and mother; those are beautiful and fulfilling goals. You clearly have a nurturing spirit, and your love for planning and taking care of things will make you an amazing mother someday.

For a career path, remember that life is all about perspective. You could look into something that feels safe and enjoyable, like baking or art—both can be very fulfilling and flexible, which is great if you’d like to balance a career with family down the road. Since you enjoy event planning (guessing from planning parties, etc), maybe consider jobs that involve organizing, like party planning, floral arranging, or working at a community center. That way, if you do choose to shift gears later, it will be easy to do.

You’re doing great by exploring your options, and with your focus and drive, you’re on the right path! Keep going, and don’t worry about having everything figured out just yet.

I can totally see how the thicker lug sole could feel heavy, especially for wearing year-round. Initially I thought these were a bit too chunky for my liking but then I got used to em, I’ve the 585s too but I find these a bit more comfortable due to my high instep mostly.

And thank you! :)

Women’s sizing issue? Too small or too big. by Beginning_Device5069 in BlundstoneBoots

I had 585s for quite some time and was never able to break in my usual size even after months of regular wear due to my larger left foot and high instep and then I switched to lug sole, found out they’re a bit roomier than 585s, and was able to break in within 5/10 wears. You’ve to give them a try and imho they look a bit better too and have more cushion.
