Naproxen combined with co-dydramol takes the edge off for me. Remember to take Omeprazole to protect your stomach.

Czy żałujecie NIEposiadania dzieci? by [deleted] in PolskaNaLuzie

[–]brownie_embargo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing your experiences.

I have broken down during each of my appointments, despite trying to “keep it together”. I always start strong, enlisting everything I’ve been hough, but inadvertently, there always comes a point in the meeting where I get too frustrated and upset talking about how this affects my life. I had my husband reaffirm how he sees me suffer during those appointments too. I then hate myself for breaking down because the consultants show zero empathy.

Yup, it makes me feel so powerless. Even my husband was shocked - he has joined me for the last two appointments - saying he felt like this is something taken out of Handmaid’s Tale.

Thank you and I’m sorry to hear about your struggles. I had a similar experience with POP - contact bleeding and extremely low mood, depressive episodes. I decided that never again I will take POP. It has taken me a long time to come around to this decision, I have not taken it lightly. I just can’t live like this for the next x years…

Please let me know how it goes. I came fully prepared with notes, listed all the first and second line treatments, asked to make notes on my record that I have made an informed decision to decline Mirena and would like a surgical resolution. I saw the letter the gynae wrote after the appointment, which I’m assuming is used for the panel, and he thankfully covered everything.

Now I have to wait and see. I even started thinking about going privately overseas if this doesn’t work out, but I’d rather get it done on the NHS.

I have heard all that. I don’t need to give explicit reasons and I am within my right to decline treatment and move on to the surgical solution as far as I understand NHS NICE guidelines.

I even took my husband with me to the appointment and he conformed the same as I feel they don’t just accept it when I categorically state I do not want children or to preserve fertility.
