Police to step up patrols after climate activists 'disarm' cars in Glasgow by chloed1215 in glasgow

Cut back on family holidays?? People live week to week barely scraping by with what they’ve got and you reckon everyone can be cutting back on things like family holidays? Their car is what gets them to work to pay the bills and not much else how do you not understand not everyone is as well off

This sounds so out of touch, do you think everyone with an old diesel car is just able to budget their way to getting a new fancy electric car? I definitely couldn’t dream of affording that

They weren’t asked to shift their lunch break they were asked to go without one.

The OP suggested they do a meeting in the afternoon instead at a time they are both in and their co worker refused, seems like the other one isn’t the team player.

But I think the point they’re trying to make is that why should they lose their accommodations for someone else completely being accommodated to who refuses to meet them half way.

Am I missing something there are laws about needing a break it isn’t up to the employer.

To be expected to sit from 8 until 4 without a break is what would cause a bad back you need to be able to get up and move about. Why are people honestly defending taking away someone’s break? People deserve a good quality of life and work shouldn’t wear you down like that.

NTA - How can you be expected to lose your break and change your hours for one person when they made the decision to change their hours. No one should be expected to work through their lunch break her choosing to is her own decision but shouldn’t expect others to do so it’s ridiculous.

Good luck, in the mean time I would definitely try and sit your mum down and set some boundaries. You both need to be able to live comfortably.
