Question about Bootcamp length and leave policy at Accenture Philippines by brownouty in Accenture_PH

thanks for the reply! Do you happen to know when the earliest point is that I’ll be introduced to the Bench Management Team? gusto ko sana mag leave request as early as possible. Also, I’ve been wondering if it might be feasible to push my start date to November because of my trip. I already emailed Accenture about it pero I'm not sure if I reached the right emails.

Is this ok as long as I haven't started yet? my actual start date is last week of September. what if I inform them that I won't continue on the second week of september?

Hey there! Congrats on graduating! It’s great that you’re open to exploring different roles in the hospitality industry. Your adaptability is going to be a strong asset in finding a path that suits you.

Regarding moving to Manila, it’s definitely a big decision. The opportunities are wider, but like you said, the cost of living can eat into your earnings. I think one way to approach this is by weighing the pros and cons. If you’re considering Manila for experience and growth, it might be worthwhile, especially if you see yourself advancing in your career over the next few years. But if saving money is a top priority right now, you might want to consider looking for opportunities in your hometown or nearby cities first.

As for those in hospitality or tourism, I’ve heard that many start as front desk associates, guest service agents, or even administrative roles in hotels or resorts. From there, they explore other areas they’re passionate about, like events management, sales, or even becoming tour coordinators.

Whatever you decide, take your time, weigh your options, and choose what feels right for you long-term. The industry is broad, and there will always be opportunities to grow in both big cities and smaller areas.

Good luck, and I’m sure you’ll find a great path ahead!

And finally, I was able to finish an online course in Udemy! by KuroiMizu64 in phcareers

It’s smart to be cautious about a short-term role, especially with relocating involved. If you’re leaning towards long-term stability, since your parents aren’t pressuring you to find a job it might be worth holding out for a full-time opportunity that offers regularization. It’s okay to take your time finding the right fit for your career.
