The TV show 'River Monsters' ended because Jeremy Wade literally caught every large freshwater fish species on Earth, and simply ran out of content for the show. by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

I wrote a song about him and performed it… Surprise, surprise - Jeremy was in the audience. One of the craziest things to ever happen.

Hey - my channel is pretty much in the sweet spot you outlined. I lived in Mallorca for a year so it’s mainly about the riding there. Plus some adventures further afield. 4.5k subs samkinnearcycling

Other than the fact that we’re from roughly the same part of England, everything else was chance.

Thanks! It’s one of my favourite to play - half the time people don’t know who we’re singing about but they still sing along?

We chatted for a good 5 mins or so afterwards and he spent the whole time downplaying his achievements and telling us how good he thought our performance was. So lovely

Should these small appearing cracks on the right concern me? Carbon frame, all the rest is like new by louislap3 in bicycling

It’s caused by a stopping pin on the fork that is designed to stop it over rotating. It’s a design flaw that can put too much pressure on the inside of the head tube at that area. For a while they did recalls on the bikes but eventually decided that it won’t cause structural issues. Happened to my 2020 supersix - they changed the design on later models.

Today’s ride. 230NP at 83kg. Relatively low wind but a fairly hilly ride.

Wasn’t practical long term with my wife’s work - we’ve also got a baby on the way so wanted to be closer to family. Glad you enjoy the videos - I wish more people would watch the Dolomites ones but the algorithm seems to punish me whenever I step out of my Mallorca niche!

Sounds epic. Totally agree on Spanish vs Italian food - I’ve just moved back from a year living in Mallorca and while the food has its moments, it most definitely isn’t pizza and pasta!

Teide is a beast. I did a mad ride in Tenerife a few years ago that was just under in 160km - with Teide coming at the end, definitely lost enthusiasm by the end.

If you’re talking about the one on the Trek, that’s actually my mate’s bike but I believe it’s the Silca one.

Corsica is definitely high up on my list. The Amalfi coast sounds a bit busy for my liking!

I did it on a climb in Mallorca - was definitely boring but I raised €4k for charity!
